I'll post my first Podcast from the Finals on Friday

Hey there everybody.

I was glad to hear everyone liked our CBS special this past weekend. I've been getting things in order here at the ranch before I head out to Las Vegas later this week.

I'll hold back some of my thoughts in hopes that you'll log onto the site and listen to my "Final Word" podcast that I'll be recording every day.

Take care, and I'll post my first Podcast from the Finals on Friday.

My family...Dad 93 and Mom 86 and myself have been fans of the PBR from the get-go. We attended the Billings PBR each April...I have season tickets for the last week-end of the Finals. Why did the cowboys sell us "small fans" out? I cannot believe there are no events in the NW this next year. I realize you are dealing with the finals now but Ty...you all need to remember who has put you where you can show your talents...has admired and supported all of you to the best of our ability. I am so disappointed that money has become so important...more than your fans.

Could someone fill me on on RFTV, what is it, and how do I get it? Thx.

Somewhat concerned about Cody Lamber's choices of bulls for the PBR...Some of his comments of late, makes me wonder, if he hasn't lost a step....

For the question on RFD-TV: It is an agri.-western-channel that you can request on cable, Dish or Direct TV. Check with your provider. 'RFD' stands for (Rural Free Delivery). To whom it may concern: I am on DirectTV and they have discontinued Versus, where all the Perf.s will be shown. I will only be able to watch 11/1 on CBS and 11/8 on NBC. I hope something can be worked out for next yr. on a sports channel so more of us will be able to watch. ESPN?? Something like that. God bless America and our cowboys. Roany

ref RFDTV on Dish in Kansas it is 231. It is basic a ag/farm/rodeo country channel. really great one to watch, all kinds of horse episodes, trainers etc.
hope this helped

Any chance the PBR will ever be on Pay-per-View for the Finals? I hate that Directv isn't broadcasting Versus any more

I am sorry for getting after you Ty. We have the event going to take place in Billings and I will be there. I have learned the lesson "don't believe everything you hear". I am humbled and do sincerely apologize.

Hello Ty. You give great incite into bull riding for people who aren't familiar with bull riding/rodeo. Thanks. By the way I was doing Little Britches with your Uncle Butch when we were about 15 or 16. Your Mom, Joy was carrying when she and your Dad would come to some of the rodeo. Ask them about Dringer stealing that prize chicken because he overheard the parents talking about how broke we were and couldn't buy food(and returning it of course). Butch and I were both at Lamar Jr. College. By the way I loved the bull riding, but was not that good at it. The NLBRA does have me in the alumni list along with steve lange, who is my step- brother. I was gloria griffith.
The PBR has grown so much due to the hard work of a good number of people and I just want to say thanks and I appreciate your hard work.

Sorry to talk about everything but the podcast, but I have been trying to find a way to contact any of the broadcast team to express my disappointment in the way that Lody Lostroh and even Gelherme are being treated. It is ashame that the bullrider that has carried the number one position for most of the year is being ignored and all anyone wants to talk about is JB Mauney. He is on every interview and the website is full of him. I feel sorry for Kody being treated like the odd man out when he is and has been number one for some time. JB may be working for the same thing but at least talk to or about Kody and Guilherme once in a while. It is very obvious who the broadcast team is rooting for.

Ty...To a lot of old-time PBR fans, it looks like Randy Benard sold the Directv fans out. I refuse to switch to Dish because of poor service. Thus, the chute closes on a few more PBR fans. It was great while it lasted..bill

What ever happen to Don Gay and Tuff Hedeman? Why were they replaced with Greg Hummer who knows nothing about bull riding or Justin McKey who promotes his own intrest over the bull riders? Ty you are the PBR, so is JB, he is very smart and knows bulls, he may not have a world title, but he has paid his dues to the sport/ I and many others would like to see Tuff and Don Gay back on the PBR, unless their is "bad blood" between you guys, bring them by once and a while, they are part of the PBR too. The bulls are great, you have done a fine job, please consider taking the time and call some old friend back to help show case the toughest sport on dirt.

wondering how Dauna (season 1 fantasy winner) could pick two riders from pier 1 last night? She had Kody Lostroh and Valeron Oliviera. Please let me know as I will certainly pick two from the Pier 1 also.

Ty Murray,
I would like you to read these posts and others in the fans daily blogs. I would appreciate it if you would take notice here...I am a long time fan, not only of you, but bull riding.

3 Hours agoNo one is disputing the caliber of riders who have made it here to the world finals. They would not be here if they were not the best in the world. To address the media and commentators reporting from Las Vegas excessively, which I have observed here in the blogs proves that the many are making observations that do not put this sport in a good light, that we as PBR fans are not accustom to seeing this kind of behavior out there so blatanly form the commentators. This is an "individualized" sport. To be fair, to be objective, to maintain perspective is imparative to all the riders as well as the fans. No one needs to create excitement, the excitement is already here! It is not trashing riders, it is bringing attention to the fact that the general public is not pleased with the bias reporting and would like to see the media, "the cowboys" maintain the spirit of what we have become to expect in giving recognition and credit due to all the riders individually. Those who have been loving bull riding, rodeo, for most of our lives have come to expect far better then we have seen not only here in Las Vegas but for most of this season. We do not want the sport to be diminshed to "a joke," we would like the comments to be impartial, to be fair, It is NOT the job of the media to turn this cl!@# "A" event into a circus of dissention. Yes, we all have our favorites and it's nice to see everyone rooting for their favorite riders, their favorite bulls, however, it is important that all the commentators of this event NOT out and out show the favoritism that they have to only one, they of all people should know this is NOT their job, quite the contrary. If they can't step it up and behave as a proffesional in their career, perhaps next season they need to steop down. This season as far as what goes on behind the cameras has been a great dissapointment. Perhaps, next season the PBR can step up their game with programming that is available and dependable to the many and go back to reporting from their cowboy roots and show some cl!@#, real grit and heart! To all the great cowboys who ride, that thrill us every season...thank you so very much, you are the best!

hello ty,thanks for keeping us up to date on all the inside stuff. Now that jb rode all 8,do you still want to change the finals to 5 days? My wife and i plan to stay for the entire finals, but would this format be fair to the bullriders? We are not sure that it is enough of a test for the men, especilly with the draft. Besides,no one could ever take a run at jb's record. 8 is a good test, you guys did 10 at the nfr,and some amazing rides happened in the 10th round. Anyway, thanks for another awesome season. curt&kerry

HI TY,,,IT'S SUSIE FROM LOUISIANA !

JUST THOUGHT THAT I WOULD DROP YOU A LINE OR TWO AND LET YOU KNOW THAT THIS BULL-RIDING FAN ENJOYED THE FINALS SOOOOO VERY MUCH. I WATCHED ALL 7 NIGHTS. I JUST WISH THAT CHRIS SHIVERS WOULD OF DONE BETTER. (BUT I'M A FAN) AND WILL LOVE HIS RIDING FOREVER.
WOW~~~~HOW ABOUT THAT KODY!!! I'M SOOOO DARN PROUD OF HIM, AND I'M ALSO PROUD OF JB, BUT FOR ANOTHER REASON OTHER THAN WINNING THE EVENT. I'M PROUD OF HIM BECAUSE I THOUGHT THAT ONCE HE GOT TO VEGAS HE WOULD GET ALL COUGHT UP WITH THE HYPE AND GLITZ OF IT ALL THAT HE WOULD GET A LITTLE TOO BIG FOR US (IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) BUT HE DIDN'T AND THEREFORE I'M PROUD OF HIM. ALSO ENJOYED SEEING YOU AND HEARING YOU IN THE BOOTH. AND WOW~~~NBC REALLY HAD GREAT COVERAGE THIS YEAR. ALL IN ALL~~~IT WAS FUN TO WATCH AND I HOPE AND PRAY THAT EVERY ONE THAT GOT HURT AND A FEW BUMPS AND BRUISES HEAL UP QUICK.
REMEMBER TY,,,,KEEP ON KEEPING ON !!!

I'm heartbroken -- no Worcester MA event this year? One New England event (Mohegan Sun) isn't enough. True, the attendance this May was off, but maybe the swine flu scare had something to do with that. Please bring our PBR back!
