Professional Bull Riding Competition

The Professional Bull Riders circuit structure is composed of two levels of competition. The elite Built Ford Tough Series is comparable to the Major League. The Touring Pro Division is compareable to the Minor League. Additionally, the five countries with PBR Tours (USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, and Australia) compete annually for the PBR World Cup.

The PBR's "major league" tour is the 30-city Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS).

The PBR's new ‘minor league’ tour, split into 3 regions(Western, Central, Eastern)

The only PBR sanctioned tour taking place in Brazil.

Official PBR action goes to Australia.

PBR Canada
The official Canadian PBR Bull Riding Circuit.

PBR Mexico
The official Mexican PBR Bull Riding Circuit.

   STANDINGS

2010 Built Ford Tough Series Standings

Built Ford Tough Series Points determine the PBR's Built Ford Tough Series World Champion. At the end of the regular season, the top 45 cowboys will qualify for the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough World Finals based on total PBR money won during the 2010 season.

Touring Pro Division

The Touring Pro Division Standings are based on earnings from the three regions (Western, Central, and Eastern) events. The Top five riders in the Touring Pro Division standings after each Built Ford Tough Series cut have the opportunity to advance and compete in the Built Ford Tough Series.

BFTS World Finals Qualifier Standings

These standings determine which riders are eligible to attend the PBR World Finals. It is based on money earned during the season and does not determine the BFTS champion. Built Ford Tough Series Standings is based on points earned through placing in events and riding bulls; It is these standings that determine the Built Ford Tough Series Champion.

   COMPETITION PROGRAMS

These are programs that allow the fans, riders, and stock contractors to all get involved in the sport in different ways.

Top All-Time Money Earners
The PBR has turned the old stereotype of bull riding from a hobby, which barely pays the riders� entry fees, to a true profession allowing cowboys to make a real living. The following bull riders can claim that competing in the PBR has made them millionaires, in some cases over the span of just a couple of years.

Built Ford Tough World Champion Million Dollar Bonus
Each year the PBR World Champion is determined by the most Built Ford Tough series points earned throughout the season. The Million Dollar Bonus will be awarded to the PBR rider earning the title of World Champion upon completion of the BFTS season, including the PBR World Finals.

The Ford Ford Super Duty Challenge
Ford is proud to sponsor the Ford Ford Super Duty Challenge, which gives the winners of the 33 Built Ford Tough Series regular season events a chance to compete at the World Finals for a Ford F-150 Truck. The rider with the highest average during World Finals wins the new truck.

Ford Truck Moment of Truth
The average leader going into the Built Ford Tough Championship Round (short round) has a chance to win $5,000 in the Ford Truck Moment of Truth. The leading rider wins the bonus money if he goes on to win the event. If he doesn't win, the prize money increases by $5,000 each event until someone is successful.

Daisy Rookie Bonus
The Rookie of the Year award is given to the bull rider who earns the most money during his first season in the PBR. A rider is considered a rookie if he debuts at a Built Ford Tough Series event at any time during the season. Prior to 2003, it was awarded to the rookie bull rider who amassed the most points during his rookie year.

Salem Nationalease Bull of the Event
The Salem NationaLease High Mark Bull bonus is paid to the stock contractor who owns the bull that receives the highest bull score at each Built Ford Tough Series event (excluding the BFTS World Finals). The bonus is $1,250 each week.

Bull Team Challenge
The concept is simple - the first ride at each Built Ford Tough Series event from up to five bulls per team is added to that team's total score. The entry fee is $50,000 per team and the winner at the end of season takes home $250,000.

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Trophy Bull Challenge
Cody Lambert selects three bulls for every long round of the BFTS season. If the bull bucks off their rider, the bull's stock contractor receives one Trophy bull point, if the rider covers the bull they receive one Trophy Bull point. The three top scoring stock contractors / riders at the end of the season receive a RMEF outdoor adventure of their choice.
