PUEBLO, Colo. - The Professional Bull Riders Touring Pro Division will have eight events in six states in five days, traveling to California, Minnesota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas and Utah.
The full slate of action begins at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, when the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon Arena in Pendleton, Ore., play host to the Pendleton Grain Growers Independence Day TPD. Featuring bulls from three-time PBR Stock Contractor of the Year Chad Berger, the Park Rapids Headwaters TPD will return to the Double J Arena in Park Rapids, Minn., at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. The TPD will make its annual appearance at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster, Calif., on Wednesday. Bull riding begins at 7 p.m., followed by the City of Lancaster Fireworks Extravaganza. Tickets are on sale at www.etix.com.
The only outdoor PBR event in the northeast, the 12th Annual Battle on Bull Mountain TPD will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in the Built Ford Tough Arena at the Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch in Tidioute, Pa. Tickets are available by telephone at (814) 484-7266.
Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio will host the TPD on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Riders will be competing for $20,000 in total prize money and the winner will be given the opportunity to compete in the PBR Built Ford Tough Series San Antonio Invitational presented by Cooper Tires on Aug. 17-18 at the AT&T Center.
The Lucas Oil TPD returns to the West Jordan Stampede on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the West Jordan Arena in West Jordan, Utah. Tickets are on sale at www.WJordan.com.
The Best of the West TPD will return to the St. Paul Rodeo Arena in St. Paul, Ore., at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are available at www.StPaulRodeo.com.
Gonzales Arena in J.B. Wells, Jr. Park in Gonzales, Texas, will host the TPD on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at E-Barr Feed and the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce. Tickets will increase $5 for adults and $2 for children on day of show.
The Touring Pro Division gives riders the opportunity to compete in PBR-sanctioned events while earning money to qualify for the nationally-televised Built Ford Tough Series, which is comprised of the Top 35 bull riders in the world. Every five events on the BFTS, the Top 5 riders (based on money earned) from the TPD are allowed to move into the BFTS.
The BFTS features the world's best and highest-paid bull riders competing against the fiercest bucking bulls on the planet. The TPD allows established veterans and newcomers alike the opportunity to compete against some of the world's best bucking bulls.
The BFTS is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network, NBC, NBC Sports Network and YouTube. BFTS telecasts are produced for the PBR under a multi-year agreement with David Neal Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company led by 34-time Emmy® Award winner and Peabody Award winner David Neal, who serves as executive producer.
