PUEBLO, Colo. - Event Leaders:

Valdiron de Oliveira on +2/7 Red Man:
You have to expect this bull to go first in any draft round. He's been ridden in six of eight outs this season, and 11 of 14 overall at this level. Oliveira is beat up, but he is a warrior, and he should get another score here.

In his first attempt on the Built Ford Tough Series, Lachlan Richardson puts up 86.75 points on Red Man before getting launched by the bull.

Renato Nunes on 848 Funeral Wagon:
Ben Jones was 87.75 points on this bull last week in his only career out.

Robson Palermo on 759 Comanche:
I expect Palermo will not be competing today due to injury, and that is unfortunate. I think the past couple years would have been different had Palermo been able to stay healthy. He is one of the most talented riders ever to put his hand in a rope, and I'd like to see him get well.

L.J. Jenkins on 789 Bad Blake:
Bad Blake was 9-0 on the Built Ford Tough Series last season, but he's 3-6 this season. Riders went from never riding him to riding him two-thirds of the time. This is a great pick for Jenkins. He's not looking to hang in there, he's looking to move up and maybe win the round.

Douglas Duncan rides Bad Blake for 90.75 points to win the PBR 15/15 Bucking Battle in Indianapolis.

Ben Jones on 766 Tick:
Tick recently moved here from Canada. He's only been ridden once in five outs, but that ride was worth 91 points for Cody Moore last August.

Jarrod Craig on 713 Cooper Tires Grey Ghost:
This bull has been in several 15/15 rounds and short rounds this season, and he's been one of the better bulls to ride in those. He's been ridden in his past two outs, including last week by Fabiano Vieira for 90.25 points.

Fabiano Vieira puts up 90.25 points on Cooper Tires Grey Ghost in the 15/15 Bucking Battle in Nampa, Idaho.

Guilherme Marchi on 0-1 Bono:
Bono got the best of Sevi Torturo in Round 1, and he's only been ridden one time in nine career outs. Marchi is riding better than anyone else in recent weeks, and as well as he ever has on the season. He had the weakest year of his career last year, but he looks to be back in form now, and he is a chore for any bull to throw off.

Cody Nance on 08 DeWalt Guaranteed Tough:
Nance had this bull way back in 2010 in Oklahoma City, and didn't make the whistle. Luke Snyder rode him last week in Billings, Mont., and became only the fourth man to accomplish that in 43 career outs.

Justin Koon gets stepped on hard after bucking off DeWalt Guaranteed Tough in Round 1 of the 2012 PBR BFTS Ty Murray Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M

Stormy Wing on 601 Rack City:
This bull is 5-for-5 against everyone he's faced. He threw Snyder in Round 1, and scored 44.25 points, which almost won the ABBI Maturity in that round.

Emilio Resende on D05 Flint:
This bull is unridden in just two outs on tour, and he tossed J.B. Mauney last week in round 1 in Nampa, Idaho.

Harve Stewart on 602 Ricochet:
Douglas Duncan was 88.75 points in Kansas City, Mo., on this bull, and that is close to the average score earned on Ricochet in four qualified rides. Stewart needs a big score - not just any score.

Luke Snyder on 620 Blonde Bomber:
Wing took second in Round 1 on this bull with 88.5 points in the third straight outing resulting in a score of 88 or better. A good pick for Snyder.

Justin Koon puts up 88 points on Blonde Bomber in Round 1 at the 2012 PBR BFTS WinStar World Casino Invitational in Houston.

Chase Outlaw on 7819 Open Season:
Open Season has been ridden only once in 21 career outs, but he hasn't faced many top-level riders. The one ride came at the hands of Bryan Richardson, a rider whom Outlaw resembles in many ways.

(Slade Long, PBR Web developer and statistician, has been crunching the numbers on bucking bulls for 13 years. In addition to his regular "Morning Line" series, published just prior to every Built Ford Tough Series performance, Long co-hosts "In the Bull Pen with Cody Lambert," a podcast recorded every Thursday prior to each BFTS event.)
