TACOMA, Wash. ― Round 2 of the PBR Passport Invitational Sunday will feature opportunities for the riders to build off their 19 qualified rides from Saturday night.
Eduardo Aparecido on 72 Pandemic:
Pandemic is potentially one of the best bulls in this round. Matt Triplett was scored 91 points on him in Grand Rapids, Mich., last fall. However, his more recent outs haven’t been up to that standard. Pandemic will go to the right, into Aparecido’s hand and this should result in a second score for Aparecido.
Matt Triplett on 609 Aftershock:
Triplett won last night’s round and has an interesting draw here. This is a bull that has spent most of his career off the radar. He appeared at a Touring Pro Division event in 2011, and then just last month in Portland, Ore., Blaine Skaggs turned in a 90-point score on him. He’s pretty much an unknown, but it would appear that Triplett has a good chance to seize control of this event.
Renato Nunes on 315 Another One:
Nunes rode this bull in New York at the beginning of the 2013 season for 86 points. Another One has had a long career and has bucked off nearly 80 percent of the riders who have been on him, but he’s been ridden in four of his last five outs. In the fifth out, he was ridden 7.83 seconds. Nunes is likely to get on the board again.
Silvano Alves Rides Another One in the 15/15 Bucking Battle at the 2013 PBR BFTS Cooper Tires Invitational in Hollywood, Fla.
Valdiron de Oliveira on 967 Arctic Cooter:
This bull has spent the bulk of his career on the rodeo trail and hasn’t faced very many top-tier riders. Last summer, he drew Lachlan Richardson and Nathan Schaper at a TPD event in Montana and was ridden by both of them. Oliveira will be the highest ranked rider he’s ever faced.
Stormy Wing on 117X KISS Love Gun:
These two met at the Last Cowboy Standing in Las Vegas last May where Wing earned 87 points. Love Gun is statistically the easiest bull in this round – he’s been ridden six times in nine career outs. He’s been to three Built Ford Tough Series events and hasn’t bucked anyone off yet.
Tanner Byrne on 71 Kimosabe:
Kimosabe has spent much of his career on the pro rodeo circuit. He’s been to the National Finals Rodeo twice and has been ridden just five times in 37 career outs. He was in St. Louis, where Claudio Crisostomo rode him for 86.25 points. Typically, bulls that are at the top of the heap in the rodeo world end up being ridden a lot more often at the Built Ford Tough Series level, where there is a set of bulls comparable to the set at the NFR every single week. Byrne made a splash last week, rode his bull last night and has a good chance here.
Cody Nance on 00 Devil of Ramadi:
They met in Duluth, Ga., and Nance didn’t get the job done. This bull is potentially one of the best in the round, but he has been inconsistent. The only time he’s been ridden in 20 career outs was when Eduardo Aparecido scored just 84.75 points on him in Sacramento, Calif.
Marco Eguchi on 821 Wild Eyes:
Eguchi had a pretty favorable matchup last night and came down early against Sagebrush. He’s got another one here. Wild Eyes has been ridden six times in 34 career outs, and five of those rides were by right-handed riders. He’s a debut bull at this level, and Eguchi will be the best rider he’s ever faced.
