PBR Heads West for Dickies Invitational in Ontario, California

The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) tour is thrilled to bring its Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) tour to Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif., for stop no. 28 on the elite tour.  The Dickies Invitational gets underway on Saturday, September 26 at 6 p.m. and on Sunday, September 27 at 2 p.m.  The top 40 bull riders in the world are competing week in and week out; each striving for the $1,000,000 PBR World Champion title, awarded at the end of the 2009 season.

For as little as $10 and increasing to $25, $35, $50, and $100, PBR fans—new and old—will not only see the toughest athletes on earth, they will also experience more than two hours of edge-of-your-seat thrills and spills, rock & roll music, and pyrotechnics. Riders expected to visit Southern California in September are 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil); two-time PBR World Champ Chris Shivers (Jonesville, La.); current world no. 1 bull rider Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.); PBR superstars J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.), Cody Ford (Stanfield, Ore.), Ryan McConnel (Colgate, Okla.), and Ryan Dirteater (Hulbert, Okla.); and fan favorites Sean Willingham (Summerville, Ga.), Ross Coleman (Molalla, Ore.), and Wiley Petersen (Fort Hall, Idaho).

The Dickies Invitational will consist of three rounds of competition with the first two rounds featuring the top 40 bull riders randomly matched against the PBR’s toughest bulls. The scores from the two rides will be combined and the riders with the top 15 scores will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round after intermission on Sunday. In the end, the cowboy with the highest total score on three bulls will be declared the winner!

Fans can see all the action from The Golden State when it airs on VERSUS on Saturday, September 26 at 11 p.m. EST and on VERSUS on Sunday, September 27 at 8 p.m. EST.   VERSUS airs all PBR events each Saturday and Sunday evening.  Please check your local listings for more details.
