COLUMBUS, Ohio - Current world No. 1, Silvano Alves, won his third event of the season in Columbus at the Cooper Tires Invitational on Saturday. Alves entered Day 2 sitting fifth overall and finished as the only rider to cover all four of his bulls. In Round 3, Alves posted a score of 84.25 points on Grey Ghost (Dakota Rodeo/Berger/Struve/Schott), tying for 12th in the round. He then finished third in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round with an 85.25-point ride on Tight Rope (Jeff Robinson/Cunningham). He will go into the 2011 World Finals with a 2,261-point lead over Valdiron de Oliveira.

Finishing second in Columbus was the dancing Ben Jones. After covering both of his bulls on Day 1, he stayed on Pearl Snap (Boyd/Floyd Bull Company) in Round 3, receiving a score of 86.25 points. He did not make the buzzer in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round. Third overall went to J.B. Mauney, who posted 84.25 points on Formula 409 (5G Farms Bucking Bulls) in Round 3, but also did not stay on his bull in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round.

Robson Palermo ended the 2011 regular season with a fourth-place finish in Columbus after covering both of his bulls on Day 1. He did not post a score on either of his bulls on Saturday. Cord McCoy closed out the Top 5, making the buzzer on both of his bulls on Day 2. McCoy won Round 3 with an 88.5-point ride on Whiskey's Rebel (Boyd/Floyd Bull Company) then rode Commotion (D&H Cattle Co./Tom Luthy) in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round for 85.5 points.

Fans can catch all of the action from Columbus on VERSUS starting at 11:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. ET, or 5:00 p.m. ET on CBS (immediately before or after the regularly-scheduled NFL game). The 2011 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas will officially begin on Tuesday, Oct. 25, with the first-ever PBR Legends Reunion at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. This special day gives bull riding fans an opportunity to meet their favorite riders. Every rider who has competed since the PBR began has been invited to Las Vegas to participate in the largest PBR Meet & Greet ever. Columbus is the final stop on the nationally-televised BFTS, which makes 29 stops in 23 states. The season began at world-famous Madison Square Garden in New York, and culminates Oct. 26-30 in Las Vegas at the richest bull riding event in the world, the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals. The Finals is where the 2011 PBR World Champion will be crowned and awarded the $1 million Built Ford Tough bonus.
