SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Scoring 89 points on Bad Moon (Circle T Ranch & Rodeo) in front of 11,000 fans at Power Balance Pavilion on Saturday, two-time Professional Bull Riders World Champion Chris Shivers is the leader after Round 1 of the PBR Built Ford Tough Series Ariat Invitational.

Shivers capitalized on his re-ride bull to take a 1.5-point lead over Paulo Lima, who scored 87.5 points on King of Cool (Don Kish Bucking Bulls).

Round 2 and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Each of the Top 40 bull riders in the world will ride in Round 2. Following Round 2 on Sunday, the riders with the 10 highest cumulative scores will advance to the championship round, where they will each compete with one more bull. The richest bull riding event in the world, the World Finals has a total purse of more than $2 million.

The BFTS is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network, NBC, NBC Sports Network, and YouTube.
