SASKATOON, Saskatchewan - With a score of 88.5 on Forget Me Not,
Brant Atwood (Granbury, Texas) is the leader after
the first night of the PBR Canada National Finals at Credit Union
Centre in Saskatoon. Two-time Canadian Champion Aaron
Roy (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan), who was the points
leader going into the weekend, is still favored to win the PBR
Canadian Cup Series title after receiving a score of 86 on Little
Bit of Sugar.
The current standings after tonight's event are as follows:
1. Brant Atwood, 88.5 points on Forget Me Not.
2. Ty Elliott, 87.5 points on Vertigo.
3. Kyle Lozier, 87 points on Iron Man.
4. Douglas Duncan, 86.5 points on China White.
Ty Pozzobon, 86.5 points on Whiskey Hangover.
6. Aaron Roy, 86 points on Little Bit of Sugar.
7. Timmy Vaughn, 85 points on Jonah The Whale.
8. Billy Robinson, 84.5 points on First Nation Sensation.
Sevi Torturo, 84.5 points on Turn Me Down.
10. Tanner Byrne, 84 points on About to Blow.
Ty Patten, 84 points on Smoke Ring.
Tyler Pankewitz, 84 points on Norman.
The PBR Canada National Finals resumes tomorrow night at 7:30
p.m. Saturday's results will determine who will be named the
Canadian National Champion and take home a $10,000 bonus for
winning the national title.
A Corral Party will be held from 6-7 p.m., before Saturday's event
where fans can meet the riders, get autographs and take photos. To
enter the Corral Party, fans will need a Saturday event ticket and
a Corral Pass, which is included for free with all VIP tickets
purchased, or for an additional $10 with all other tickets. Tickets
can be purchased at the Credit Union Centre Box Office, all
Ticketmaster Outlets, by phone at 938-7800 and 1-800-970-7328 or
on-line at ticketmaster.ca.
