AMERICANA, Brazil - Marco Eguchi posted the top mark in the opening round of the PBR Brahma Super Bull Finals with 92.38 points on Baleado on Thursday.
Rubens Barbosa notched 91.5 points on Carro Chefe, and Deivison Nishigawa put up 91.5 points on Reality to tie for second. With Eguchi out with injury, Nishigawa won the tiebreaker with Barbosa, and earned the chance to get on a bonus bull, Murubu. Nishigawa, however, was unable to make the whistle on Murubu.
Marcos Menezes finished fourth in the round with 89.63 points on Massacre, while Renato Nunes placed fifth with 88.75 points on Super Man.
Edevaldo Ferreira, meanwhile, extended his lead in the standings with 88.75 points on Sinistro. Reigning World Champion Silvano Alves covered Pesadelo for 86.25 points.
