PUEBLO, Colo. - The Professional Bull Riders and ABBI (American
Bucking Bull Inc.) have announced that Ford Trucks is generously
providing two trucks to be given away this weekend at Cowboys
Stadium during the Back Seat Buckers Bull Draft and Auction.
Originally, one truck was to be awarded to the stock contractor whose bull brought in the most money at the auction. Now, in addition to a stock contractor receiving a Ford F-150, the Back Seat Buckers member who bids the highest amount for their bull will drive away in a new truck as well.
"Ford has been a loyal partner to the PBR for over a decade now," said ABBI Executive Director Kaycee Simpson. "I'm honored that they share our vision about Back Seat Buckers and want to help us make this inaugural season as successful as possible and reward the people who are dedicated to supporting the bucking bull industry."
Back Seat Buckers is a turn-key bull ownership program consisting of 100 Futurity bulls from some of the top stock contractors in the country. These bulls will compete against each other at four events in 2012, as well as a Las Vegas Finals, where the winner will receive $250,000. Half a million total in prize money will be awarded this year.
"Our ABBI stock contractors use a truck every single day - it's crucial to their way of life. I've had so many calls and emails from our members who have bulls in the Back Seat Buckers program. The response has been phenomenal and everyone is excited to see who will get a truck on Saturday," added Simpson. "The fact that Ford is also making it possible to reward one of our new Back Seat Buckers bull owners is incredible. I can't imagine anything more thrilling than buying a bull this weekend with world-class bloodlines who has a shot at a quarter million dollars - and getting to take home the No. 1 pickup in America."
The Back Seat Buckers Bull Draft and Auction will take place prior to the PBR's Dickies Iron Cowboy Invitational on Saturday, March 3, in Arlington, Texas. Visit BackSeatBuckers.com for more details on the program; visit PBR.com for more information about Professional Bull Riders.
