NAMPA, Idaho - In front of a sellout crowd at the Idaho Center, Emilio Resende rode Skatman Hou (Wolf Creek Cattle Company/B-T Bucking Bulls) for 88.5 points to take the lead after Round 1 of the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series event on Saturday.

Harve Stewart is in second place with 87.25 points, and 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi is in third place with 87 points. Taking a reride, Stewart reached 8 seconds on Another One, and Marchi rode Midnight Mood. Injured after reaching 8 seconds, Marchi did not compete in the PBR 15/15 Bucking Battle and is questionable for Sunday.

Competing for more than $125,000 in total prize money, each of the Top 35 riders in the world will ride again in Round 2 on Sunday. Following Round 2, the riders with the 10 highest cumulative scores will advance to the championship round where they will each compete with one more bull. The overall event winner will be the rider with the highest combined score from all three rounds.

Round 2 and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets begin at $10 and are available at the Idaho Center box office, www.ICTickets.com, by telephone at (208) 442-3232. Bull riding will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 13. Tickets are also on sale at Treasure Valley TCBY locations, Jack's Drive-In in Caldwell, and in Ontario, Ore., at Jn'J Corner Store (Ticketing and/or handling fees may apply).

The PBR is offering a Mother's Day special on Sunday where fans can purchase three tickets and receive a fourth ticket for free at www.ICTickets.com by using the code PBRMOMS. The PBR is also allowing Boise State University students to purchase any available ticket on Sunday for only $10. To redeem the limited-time offer, students must purchase their ticket at the Idaho Center box office and show a valid student ID at the time of purchase.

Nathan Schaper is in fourth place after a career-best 86.5 points on Noisy Cricket, followed by 2004 PBR World Champion Mike Lee, who scored 86.25 points on Thirteen on the very first ride of the night. Defending PBR World Champion Silvano Alves is in sixth place with 86 points, and top-ranked Valdiron de Oliveira is in seventh place with 85.75 points.

Oliveira sat out last weekend. Two weeks ago in Uncasville, Conn., while face-down in the dirt after a successful ride, he was stomped on in the back, mere inches from his unprotected neck and head, and pile-driven into the arena floor, suffering a fractured eye socket that will eventually require surgery. He is also competing with a broken foot suffered three weeks ago at Indianapolis.

Shepherd Hills Tested (Luthy/Duckwall/D&H Cattle Co./Shepherd Hills Cutlery) won the American Bucking Bull, Inc., Classic with 88.75 points after bucking off Fabiano Vieira. Tribal Tuff.com (Wolf Creek Cattle Co.) finished second with 87.25 points while Woody (Julio Moreno Bucking Bulls) and Skatman Hou tied for third with 87 points.

CBS Sports Network will broadcast action from Round 2 and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round at 6 p.m. ET this Sunday, May 13. There will be encore airings at 10 p.m. ET on Sunday, and at 2 a.m. ET on Monday, May 14.

Idaho is the 18th stop on the BFTS, which opened the 2012 season on Jan. 6-8 with capacity crowds at Madison Square Garden in New York. The BFTS will make 28 stops in 23 states before the Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Oct. 24-28, 2012. The World Finals are where the PBR World Champion will be crowned and awarded the coveted Championship Buckle and a $1 million bonus. The richest bull riding event in the world, the World Finals has a total purse of more than $2 million.

The BFTS is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network, NBC, NBC Sports Network, and YouTube.
