PUEBLO, Colo. - The Professional Bull Riders and DAD'S Pet Foods announced that they are donating 1,000 pounds of dog food and cat food to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. The Humane Society is dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community through shelter, placement, spay/neuter, education and awareness.

Featuring Missouri natives L.J. Jenkins and Luke Snyder, the Professional Bull Riders nationally televised Built Ford Tough Series returns to the JQH Arena this weekend for the PFIwestern.com Invitational presented by Bass Pro Shops.

Jenkins, who was born in Springfield, Mo., is the No. 1 ranked rider in the world, while Snyder, who is from Raymore, Mo., is ranked 13th.

Tickets are on sale at PFI Western Store, 2816 South Ingram Mill Road in Springfield, Mo., on the PFIWestern.com website, www.MissouriStateTix.com, and by telephone at (888) 476-7849 or (417) 836-7678. Bull riding begins at 8 p.m. on Friday, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, and at 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The Humane Society of Southwest Missouri operates the only open-admission humane society in Southwest Missouri. There are no limits on the number or types of cats and dogs accepted, and the organization will not refuse an ill or injured animal or any animal that is not an immediate candidate for adoption. Funding for the organization comes from private donations, and they do not receive any funding from the Humane Society of the United States, Humane Society of Missouri, SPCA, or any government agencies.

The Official Pet Food of the PBR, DAD'S Pet Foods looks to donate 1,000 pounds of pet food product to a local humane society, animal rescue, or animal care center in each city the BFTS visits.
