OKLAHOMA CITY ― Riding Fairy Tattoo for 89 points, Jory Markiss took the early lead at the WinStar World Casino Invitational presented by Express Employment Professionals at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
J.B. Mauney and Emilio Resende are tied for second with 88 points through the first round of Built Ford Tough Series action. Mauney covered Hustle Up, while Resende made the whistle on Stone Sober.
Stormy Wing, Sean Willingham and 2010 World Champion Renato Nunes are tied for fourth with 87.50 points.
CBS Sports will broadcast Round 2 at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday. Round 3 and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round will air at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Round 2 will begin at 7:50 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are available at www.Ticketmaster.com, and by telephone at (800) 745-3000. Round 3 and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Each of the 35 riders will ride on Saturday and Sunday. Following Round 3 on Sunday, up to 15 riders will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round.
