ARLINGTON, Texas ― The bull matchups have arrived.

Dr Pepper Iron Cowboy V will take place Saturday, March 1, with the only bracket-style format event on the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series. AT&T Stadium will host 47 of the PBR’s best bulls and 24 of the greatest riders as they go head-to-head until only one man is left.

With a total event purse of $150,000, the winner will be fighting to claim his share of the pot and a shot at the Bad Boy Mowers Million Dollar Ride. Every rider is looking to be crowned the Dr Pepper Iron Cowboy V and the bulls are the only thing standing in their way, including two-time World Champion Bull Bushwacker, who will decide if one rider truly deserves that $1 million payout.

Current No. 1 rider and 2004 World Champion Mike Lee will go up against Jack Daniel’s Winter Jack in Round 1, while Fabiano Vieira will attempt Fire & Smoke in hopes of advancing to the next round. Texas Tea will face off with reigning World Champion J.B. Mauney, 2008 World Champion Guilherme Marchi will take on Red Neck and two-time World Champion Silvano Alves will look to cover Honey Hush in Round 2.

Other bulls included in the brackets are Smackdown, Mississippi Hippy, Rango and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, which will await their opponents in the semifinals. In the final matchup, Asteroid and Mick E Mouse will decide who will go on to be crowned this year’s Iron Cowboy.

This BFTS event pits riders against one another with the objective of either achieving the highest-scored qualified ride in the matchup or staying on the bull the longest to advance. For every qualified 8-second ride the cowboy will receive $1,000.

The event winner will have to go through at least four of the PBR’s baddest bucking bulls to receive the opportunity to earn the right to be called an Iron Cowboy and try his luck against Bushwacker in the Bad Boy Mowers Million Dollar Ride. Arguably the greatest bull in PBR history, Bushwacker will be making his only appearance in Texas at Iron Cowboy V on Saturday night. Out of the men competing in the event, Mauney has been the only rider to successfully cover the outstanding bovine.

The complete list of bull matchups are as follows:

The event starts at 5:50 p.m. with a concert by county music star Justin Moore. The bull riding action begins at 7 p.m. Tickets range in price from $20 to $150 and include both the concert and the competition. They can be purchased at the AT&T Stadium Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000.

The preliminary rounds of Iron Cowboy V will air live on CBS Sports Network at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 1, with the final rounds and the Million Dollar Ride airing on CBS Network Television on Sunday, March 2, at 1 p.m. ET.

Arlington is the ninth of 27 stops on the 2014 PBR Built Ford Tough Series schedule and one of only 18 cities to host the series before the PBR takes its summer break in May. It’s the only stop the elite BFTS will make in Texas in 2014.

The season will conclude at the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Oct. 22-26. The 2014 PBR World Champion, the bull rider who earns the most points during the 2014 season, will receive the coveted World Championship belt buckle and a $1 million bonus while in Vegas.
