GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Colten Jesse (Konawa, Oklahoma) took the buckle at the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) Grand Rapids Classic Saturday night at the Van Andel Arena.  

Jesse scored 87 points aboard Suspicious (C Check Bucking Bulls) in Round 1 before earning 89.5 points on Stand Up (Dakota Rodeo / Chad Berger / Clay Struve) in the championship round.  He earned 120 points toward the world standings, $7,900 and an to the WinStar World Casino & Resort Iron Cowboy, powered by Kawasaki, in Arlington, Texas.

Alex Marcilio (Macaubal, SP, Brazil) finished second after earning 84 points on Little Anthony (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) in Round 1. In Round 2, Marcillo earned 78.5 points on BC Circular Insanity (Dakota Rodeo / Chad Berger / Clay Struve / H&C Bucking Bulls). He earned 70 points toward the world standings and $4,850.

Third place was solidified by Keyshawn Whitehorse (McCracken Springs, UT) after he earned 88.5 points aboard Peep Show (Cornwell Bucking Bulls).

Michael Lane (Tazewell, Virginia) will be walking away from the weekend with a fourth-place finish after earning 87 points on Flip Ya Lid (Silver Belly Ranch & Rodeo) in Round 1. He earned $2,150 and 20 points toward the world standings.

Cristiano Figueredo (Brazil, BRA) finished in fifth place after earning 86.5 points aboard Break The Chain (Silver Belly Ranch & Rodeo) before bucking off of Thunder on Hooves (Berger/Clay Struve/Heald Pro Bulls) in the championship round. Miller earned 12.5 world points and a check for $850.

Reese Cates (Monticello, AR) tied for fifth after scoring 86.5 points on Last One Standing (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) in Round 1.  Cates earned a $850 and 12.5 world points.

The Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour is heading into a double-weekend with events in Youngstown, Ohio, on Feb. 9-10 at the Covelli Centre, and Greenville, South Carolina, on Feb. 10 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

The 2018 Velocity Tour will culminate with the Velocity Tour Finals at South Point Arena in Las Vegas in 2018, leading into the PBR 25th PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast at T-Mobile Arena.
