Titman snags first Velocity win in Greenville

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Bryan Titman (East Barnard, Texas) won his first event of the season at the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) Greenville Invitational Saturday night at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

Titman took the buckle after scoring 84 points aboard Bad Check (Circle J & K Cattle) in Round 1 before earning 86 points on Bugle Boy (Rickey West Bucking Bulls) in the championship round. The 29-year-old earned 120 points toward the world standings, $6,500 and an invite to The PBR 25th: Unleash The Beast Duluth Invitational on March 10-11.

Reese Cates (Monticello, Arkansas) finished second after earning 87.5 points on Millennium’s Buck (Mike Miller/Torres Bros) in Round 1 and 80.5 points on Rebel Yell II in the championship round. Cates earned 70 points toward the world standings and $6,050.

Third place was solidified by Lachlan Richardson (Gresford, Australia) after he earned 86.5 points aboard Hart Breaker (Davis Rodeo Inc.) The Aussie will be going home with a check for $3,000 and 40 world points.

Joe Johnson (Pine Grove, Louisiana) will be walking away from the weekend with a fourth-place finish after earning 84.5 points on Machizmo (Circle J & K Cattle) in Round 1. Johnson earned $1,570 and 17.5 points toward the world standings.

Junior Cezar Quaresma (Brazil) tied for fourth after earning 84.5 points aboard Circus Freak (Circle K & K Cattle) before bucking off of Shark Bait (Rickey West Bucking Bulls/ 2R Bucking Bulls) in the championship round. Quaresma earned 17.5 world points and a check for $1,570.

The next stop on the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour will be in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Feb. 17 at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The 2018 Velocity Tour will culminate with the Velocity Tour Finals at South Point Arena in Las Vegas in 2018, leading into the PBR’s 25th Anniversary World Finals at T-Mobile Arena.
