Hi all you regular bloggers out there. I feel like I know everybody from reading these blogs.
It's great that some of you have met and become friends through the PBR-it is sometimes hard
to find somebody who shares our p!@#ion for bullriding. It looks like a great week end and the
bulls look extremely well represented-I've been waiting to see Bushwacker again. I was really
impressed with him the couple times I saw him. I hope the riders don't get jealous that we have
just as many "boys" in the chutes that we root for as we do riders! I picked Jordan Hupp in my
Fantasy line up so I'll see how he does this week end. Good luck and prayers go out to all the
    riders and bulls.

Thanks, Joan. I'll be looking. I sent you something to see if it was you :)

rez, yes, that is me. I just never post on there very much. I think I sent you something the one time I went on the site. I will do it today again.

Joan - are you Joanie Simpson on the teampbr website "Forum"? Do you ever post there?
  • sannpow
    March 4, 2010
Twiggy - I think you are right about Renato, he would try it and probably make it all the
way up in a very short amount of time. What's a rock wall when you can backflip of the
    chutes with ease!

Pbr-baglady.....to funny....I live inbetween Spring Hill & Gardner! You need to go to the
teampbr website and find me (I'm Twigggy on that site...that's with 3 g's). You can
personally email from there without having to post for the whole board to see....lol

Twiggy you must be close to me. I'm near Spring Hill. I doubt if we will go to Independence just for the draft. We watched it in OKC. I too was in hopes it would be in Olathe. But we will show up early on Saturday for the event across the street from the Sprint Center. If I read right, Valdiron and Robson will have to push it to get from Cavender's out by the speedway to Independence in an hour. They are to sign autographs from 10am to 11am and then be at the draft at 12. Since the draft time is only from 12 to 1 do you think they will have the signing tables like they did in OKC?
  • Twiggy
    March 4, 2010
Pbr-baglady: my guess is all the PBR merchandise will be at the Independence location. I was
hoping (but I knew it would be to good to be true) that the draft would be at the Olathe B!@#
Pro....15 minutes from my house!.....but NO, have to drive almost an hour to the other store.
For anyone going to the B!@# Pro in Independence and staying at the host hotel downtown, it's
not just a hop, skip & jump. Plan on giving your self some time cause you'll be going thru
all of that downtown traffic & Road construction....YUCK! But its a cool store...rock climbing
wall & everything....woooo hoooo, now that's something I'd like to see....one of "our boys" on
the rock climbing wall, hat, boots & the whole nine yards....I might just dare Renato to try
it! He's just crazy enough, he'll probably do it!

They have made mistakes in the Fsntasy line up before with other riders. I always look up riders and bulls and I have caught it before. Not that it does me a bit of good. I am absolutely the worst.

Kody Lostroh needs to get his elbow fixed once and for all. Riding good one weekend, bad the next, and then sitting out the third is a pretty useless way to run a career. If he will just bite the bullet and get his elbow fixed, he can come back strong. Imagine him back at full physical capability again - he can easily move up the standings in time to finish well.

In the meantime, watch out - Jody Newberry is going to take home a lot of the wins.

pbr-baglady, thank you so much for the info on the dvd. I just went on that site and ordered
    it for my son's birthday.

Okay, I se the Fantasy line up note about JB on Bones, but what does it mean?
  • reznibd
    March 4, 2010
Oops! Just found the bull, JB. Too cool!
  • reznibd
    March 4, 2010
Okay, you all are confusing me. JB is on Hard Rock Friday night. Bones?

Joan, where did you see a bull named JB?

I must be slipping--can't keep up with you all!!
  • pbr-baglady
    March 4, 2010
Wouldn't you think the corporate offices would let their local outlets know who they sponser? Especially the weekend of the events. I just called the B!@# Pro Shop in Olathe, KS (just outside of Kansas City) to ask if they were carring the PBR T-Shirts that OKC did. Her reply was - "What is the PBR?". I had the same question two years ago when we rented an Enterpise Van for PBR weekend.
  • pbr-baglady
    March 4, 2010
since J.B. is a McCoy Ranch bull - Maybe the 'Llama Whisperer" would tell us what it stands for?
  • Joan Simpson
    March 4, 2010
cactus sue, maybe that bull is Just Bad(meaning tough). JB is one tough bull rider for sure.

TWTX, "our boys" is an endearing term for ALL of our bull riders. Every time any of them get on a bull they are my favorite. Like I have always said, I always route for our bull riders.
  • cactus-sue
    March 4, 2010
    Joan,
It sure looks that way. It would be fun to see if that is true - a bull named after JB or just why the bull is named JB. If he bucks like JB rides, he should be a good one!

    Rebelnbobbi,
I was wondering the same thing....JB vs Bones was last year! Anyone know why that was listed?

Excited for this weekends event!!! Hope Kody's elbow holds out and he can return to his stellar form! Hope it is a safe weekend for all!

    March 3, 2010
Whats with JB riding Bones on Friday night? I saw it on the Fantasy Pick sight. It is not mentioned in the article. Like every week, I wish the riders the best of luck, safety to the bull fighters and of course best of health as well to the bulls. As far as the World Cup, if I were JW Hart the US team would be...... Jordon Hupp, Jody Newberry, Josh Koshel, McKennon Wimberly and Austin Meier. They are all riding very well right now and the top names like JB, Kody, and Travis are going into their slumps. If JW wants to retain the title, go by current performance not just a name.

    March 3, 2010
Hi, everybody, this comment has nothing to do with the article, but I have a question and I
am sure somebody out there can give me the answer. I would like to get a copy of the video
that came out last fall on the history of the PBR. I thought the name was "This is Not a
Rodeo" but that might not be exactly right. Anyway JW and Justin said on PBR Now last
Thursday that is is available on the web site, but I am unable to find it. What is the name
and how can I buy a copy? Thanks for any help. I enjoy reading everyone's comments.

i'm excited to watch the pbr . It was fun to see mike lee and ljjekins ride well in st louis.
it was also nice to see somebody different win in st. louis.
it will be intersting to see who will make the world cup team for the usa
  • Shannon K
    March 3, 2010
TWTX and Twiggy: That makes more sense...I was wondering what I was missing! I too have never been one to restrict myself to a single favorite in any sport, but it's easier with bull riding, 'cuz while I definitely root more for some riders than others, I can always root for the cowboy over the bull. Call me prejudiced, but I prefer humans :).

Here's hoping both Guilherme and Kody can make great rides this weekend despite their injuries!
  • TWTX
    March 3, 2010
Shannon K - Yes Twiggy is right I was referring to her favorite and mine. But I must say
that I have many favorites, too many to list..Mike Lee, Caleb, Dustin, Cody N. Travis Sellers,
Josh, Ryan M. and on and on....lol. Kody is just the one I guess I have on top of my
list. I think most of us cheer for most if not all of the riders, just some a little
    more than others.. :)

Joan - yes "our boys" is just an endearing way to talk about some of our favorites riders,
or showing that we are proud of them, kinda the same way I refer to my son sometime. :)
    "That's my boy"!!
  • Twiggy
    March 3, 2010
ShannonK....I think TWTX refered to them as "both of our boys"...meaning she was referring to
ONE and I really do mean ONE of MY many favorites...... I'll be happy to tell you it's
Guilherme, but don't get me started cause the list would be a mile long. lol :)
  • Shannon K
    March 3, 2010
TWTX: I didn't realize you had two favorite bull riders! If you don't mind my asking, who's the second? Anyway, I hope you have a blast in Cabo!
  • Joan Simpson
    March 3, 2010
rez and cactus-sue, looks like JB has a bull named after him. Do you think?
  • Joan Simpson
    March 3, 2010
TWTX and Twiggy, it is good to see all of us ladies do sometimes refer to the bull riders as our "boys" for our choices.

We all have our favorites and that is what makes the world go around. I hope it is a good week-end for all of the bull riders.
  • TWTX
    March 3, 2010
Twiggy - We would love to make it four in a row, but yes it is our weekend to go south of the
border... Cabo!! Hoping for some sun and warmth. I am a little tired of the cold.. but
will unfortunately not be able to even follow the live event tracker. We will just have to get
the final results after the fact. I will definitely miss seeing the riders in person and
seeing you and Sannpow there. And yes, both of our "boys" will be there! Praying that their
injuries will not affect them too much. I know you will have a full house! Have fun and
    have that frig full!!! :)
  • Twiggy
    March 3, 2010
Webpbr & TWTX are you SURE you don't want to make it 4 in a row? The draw is up & your boy is
in the lineup! Or is this when your leaving for south of the border?

Plus if anyone is interested, Travel Zoo has a code to get 1/2 price tickets
for the Friday & Sunday performances. Go to ticketmaster & use the promo code TZOO.

A pretty mixed up article, but who cares it is what happens when the action begins that counts.
  • webpbr
    March 2, 2010
lol, Now they have changed it. However, they replaced JB as number one to Valdiron, but then didn't put JB back in at all. Now Valdiron is in twice. I guess he will be busy riding twice in each round and JB won't even get the chance to ride. :)

    March 2, 2010
I think we will all know a little more tommorrow once the draw is announced.

I'm with pbr-baglady, ya'll are more than welcome to come to KC. The weather is supposed to
be the best we've had all year.....which really isn't saying a lot...doesn't take much to make
it seem nice when you've been living in polar bear conditions....lol No, really, I think it's
supposed to be in the 50's maybe a little rain late Fri night. Plus, Quick Trip has the
family four pack thingy really cheap for all 3 days of the event. Ya can't beat that with a
    stick!

Hope we get to see another great short go round of bulls Sunday!
  • webpbr
    March 2, 2010
stormcloud - I don't think we know for sure if Kody will be out or not. I think it was going to be a "game time" decision, depending on how his elbow feels.
  • flash105
    March 2, 2010
It sure makes you folks look ridiculous when you can't even keep up with which rider is first in the standings. J B Mauney was "bucked off" the number one spot which was taken over by Valdiron de Oliveira.
  • stormcloud
    March 2, 2010
webpbr----I noticed that also. Wasn't Lostroh going to sit this one out as well as
    Marchi?
  • webpbr
    March 2, 2010
In case I missed something, isn't Valdiron number one in the BFTS standings? The article says otherwise. Also, isn't Marchi supposed to be out for the next several weeks?

    PBR-BAGLADY,
Have a great weekend! How fun that you have family coming in for the event! Enjoy!!!

    March 2, 2010
YEA - The BULL BOYS are coming to town. We have family coming from Florida and Oklahoma just for this weekend. Already have the tickets and ready to go.
Since this is an 'invitational" I'd like to INVITE everyone to come to KC. Even the weather is suppose to be decent.
