March 14, 2010stormcloud - You know they say that it ain't over till it's over, well..... as far as the Slade thing, it's over. However, feel free to jump in and start something else. :) There is plenty to debate. Come on..... live up to your sign on. :) -

March 14, 2010Sorry for my comments about Slade and JB. -

March 14, 2010webpbr - what you said (and I will quote you) is simply not true. Slade said nothing of the kind like you said below:
"According to Slade Long, on The Morning Line, JB was going to come in and slay his bull and ride him like no other and get a better score than anybody had ever gotten on that bull."
Sorry, but you were way out of line in what you said with everything that followed the previous statement. Plus, who are you to say what JB does and does not deserve? You know, that's the kind of stuff that is so incredibly hurtful to others, me included, and I, for the life of me, can't figure out why you want to keep going there? Truly, I don't. How would you like it or feel if I tore down Kody at every opportunity? I'm so disappointed, so very disappointed--not that anyone cares, but it's just really sad.
I keep hoping these blogs will become a place to share ideas respectfully, encourage others when needed, congratulate the winners and sympathize with the losers, but I guess I live in La La Land! -

March 14, 2010Is that what you do as a fan of Kody? As a fan I don't see anyone drooling over anyone. That is a little bit of a stupid remark.
As far as negative remarks, I have none for any bull rider.
That is my last remark to trash talk. -
webpbr
March 14, 2010I find it odd that some want to complain that some are writing negative comments, but when their favorite rider of all time (picture the fan drooling) publicly says negative things, no complaining from them about negative comments. -

March 14, 2010The bull was so crappy that most riders would not have been able to reach the 8 seconds.
He was so crappy he probably should have gotten a reride but you know that would have only caused the JB haters to have more to talk in negative ways about him. Slade knows who is a good rider is and he does not need criticizm for what he says.
I have to say JB is the most watched PBR rider and have heard gets the most cheers when his name is called out and that can only be good for the the PBR and the negative remarks come from the same old people so keep on mentioning his name it just causes more people to watch him and most of the people become his fans.
Just keep it up folks. -

March 14, 2010We are as thrilled as everyone else over the new addition to JW's family. Loving arms awaited these children and they(parents and child)are blessed to have found each other. God bless them as He has to bring them together.
Last night, we questioned whether JB had touched that bull. Playing it back in slow motion from just what the one camera angle was shown, it sure appeared that way to us. Did anyone else see what we saw. It happened very shortly after coming out the gate. Not more than two or possibly three jumps. Just wondering.
Sure pleased to see the line up for USA and the including of Jordan Hupp even though he didn't ride last night. Yes, we were surprised as everyone that was pulling for him. Go USA !!! -

March 14, 2010First, congrats to Kody. Stepped up to the plate and hit a home run with a new unknown bull. Also, glad to see Ryan, Dustin, Renato, Ednei and Marchi ride.
FlashOBlue - According to Slade Long, on The Morning Line, JB was going to come in and slay his bull and ride him like no other and get a better score than anybody had ever gotten on that bull. The fact is the bull is a crappy, out of line bull that is hard to ride and even when you do, you won't get a good score. The bull did what it usually does and JB looked like what every rider looks like on that bull. However, Slade puts JB on The Morning Line, on that bull. Others look at what is written and wonder why he is on there. Then they get upset, because there is no way that JB should have been on there. But, he is JB. Now, this is not JB's fault, but there is this media hype about JB that he is put in the limelight, even when he does not deserve it. This creates a backlash and turns some off. Again, this is not JB's fault, but there is a media push for JB. -

March 14, 2010Excellent job Kody!!!!! Great ride on Petey D. Hoping for another excellent ride tonight!!!
Congrats to Team USA! and all the riders chosen to represent their countries in the World Cup. I must say that I am very surprised that Renato did not make the team, and of Ednei's comments last night to Leah about why he is not chosen. I hope that Renato and Ednei continue to ride well and prove Adriano wrong!
So happy for JW and his family, the addition of a new little girl. Best Wishes and much happiness! -

March 14, 2010All draws should be by computer. -
FlashOBlue
March 14, 2010Congratulations to all, especially JB Mauney for riding that lame bull, Keep Wishin! I know it was a computer draw, but there's no way the #1 rider should be not be given a top notch bull. But, JB proved himself once again! Go JB! -

March 14, 2010Why, yes. There is much to be happy about and thankful for after Round 1 and the announcement
of Team USA!
Glad to hear about Pistol. He needs to be back on the BFTS. Still sad that Kasey isn't working his way back or doesn't appear to be--miss him a lot. Really hard to see our regulars get cut.
Interesting range of bulls in Round 1. Surprised to see Soulja Boy and some others there last night. -

March 14, 2010Speaking of J.W., I thought he did a good job explaining his choice of riders for World Cup.
When there are so many that are great riders it's got to be hard to narrow it down and pick
only five. From listening to J.W. I think he gave this alot of thought. Good luck to team USA.
I think it's great that the Hart's are adopting, there are so many children in this world that
need a home and I know these children will have a loved & wonderful well cared for life with
the Harts.Congrats! -

March 13, 2010Off topic here but thought I would let anyone interested know that Pistol Robinson won
the Touring Pro Event in Mesquite tonight!
Shannon - I agree with you about J.W.'s new daughter. It is great! And I too hope that Caleb
gets out of his slump soon. -

March 13, 2010Great ride by Kody! So happy to see him able to ride as well with his injury! Still can't
imagine how awesome he would do if he was not injured. Looks like Kody has a pretty tough
bull tomorrow. Hopefully, he will be able to get him ridden and have a great finish in this
event! Also, congrats to Dustin for a great ride tonight! -
Shannon K
March 13, 2010We got to see some fun rides tonight, especially those by Kody, Ryan, and Renato. Sad to see Caleb in such a slump, though. I appreciated the special segment on Jody Newberry -- what a miracle that he's still with us! Regardless of whether he's able to win the world, I really pray he avoids serious injury for however much longer he rides bulls.
Speaking of injuries...great to see Guilherme able to do his cartwheel and Wiley walking without seeming to favor his leg. I thought I saw Josh Koschel limp after his buckoff, though...hope he's not injured!
Congratulations to JW and his wife on their new addition! How wonderful that they'll be able to provide a good home to another child!
