Which I am extended my express standing ovation to all PBR Fans who I think promote family value through the Media through the age of the Internet Technology which the PBRfans voice their Cl!@# Act Attitude which I believe are second to none from founders, PBR Organization Fans, Owners and to bucking bulls, and last but not least
I do want to extending my sincere
Regards to all whom I respected them more than ever, The PBR Bullriders.
I Honor them which they so rightly Earn and also their family.

I am leaving this web sit and scripted only to PBR Bucking Bulls Mag.
    Happy Trail and God’s Speed.

A little side-note: I fell and jump sort of hmm..like jumping from a 30 store building when I landed on my feet, the G-force over took.
While I was flying through air picking up speed and the ground are getting nearer
I Brace and clamp down my jaw so hard preventing from breaking my back when I landed on a LUCKLY a sandy dirt below.
It work 222 pieces of my jawbreak later.
Since then I climb more than 325 rocks over 1000 foots and still have the p!@#ion.

Jawbreaker222: Maybe you should go find a helmet, because your comments make it sound like you've lost a few of your challenges to the rock. In your sport, its your own stupidity if you fall. In bull-riding, whether you make a good ride or not, you hit the dirt hard, and anything can happen. It sounds like your trying to cover for something Jawbreaker - do you even rock-climb, or are you just making that up to try and impress people with your "toughness". Regardless, I wouldn't expect you to have any understanding of the concept of bull-riding and the dangers that occur, since you only watch "occasionally". Maybe you should find something else to do occasionally - skydiving with no parachute, perhaps?

    Thewarners,

I am a free style rock-climber. May not be a sport or not but when I do challenge a rock, It require no “HELMET, Vest or a ROPE. Yes, I could fall to my demise every time you climb rocks, but Boy!!..Do I feel the Rush of Adrenalin before and after, more alive than ever, appreciate life more than you could ever imagine when you do conquer a mountain, staring death at his face every time you do it that no city-slicker skateboarder turn bullrider JB “feels” when he post a 90 pts ride with his safeguard helmet and vest and a bullfighters for more protection on very cushion soft ground along with a new technology sport medicine apply when he scratch his arm after his ride…did I mention his life INSURANCE also.
I occasionally watch PBR event on TV but only admired those Cowboys who don’t wear helmets and I do totally agree that they should all wear VEST protection that it doesn’t conflict with the fearless tradition but that just me… GO BULLS!!!

Txpbrgal…Yes, I do all that stuff you mention the night before I climb

    Twiggy,
Thanks much for the information. I was really concerned! I was not able to watch the show last night, so I did not know what was going on. I am pleased that the co-owner thought to rest him. Time for the NC boys to go home - spring is here!

    Thanks again Twiggy!!!

Still feeling so badly about Pillow Talk. I can't bear the thought of another of our magnificent bulls being put down! My sympathies to his owners and those who cared for him. Extra glad they are taking special care of Voodoo Child!

voodoo child?,.. I think this weekend,..Ranato could have ridden him for 93.50,..Nunes is at the top of his game now.
    Congrats!! to him.

    March 20, 2010
Sorry, that should read like this: haven't heard of him (trubadour that is) since JB picked him and rode him like every other ride.
  • mauney_ride
    March 20, 2010
I think they just didn't want Voodoo Child ridden twice in a row or get picked on, now that he is ridden, and like JB did to troubadour (rode him into tiredness,) now trubadour is,..where is he?,...have heard of him since JB picked him and rode him like every other ride.

I have to agree with the decision not to buck Voodoo after all of the bad news of late, regarding the bulls. Plus, these bulls have been on the road, far from home. God bless our Chicken, so far from home and still bringing it in the Short Go, week in and week out, despite his age. What a handsome and amazing guy that Chicken is. I will feel better once our NC bulls get a little closer to home. Surely, Jeff Robinson knows that Spring has finally sprung in NC--time to come home.

    March 20, 2010
Cactus Sue: They had Jeff Robinson (Voodoo's 1/2 owner) on VS tonight. The other half
owner thought that since Voodoo was riden last weekend, he might need a weekend off to rest
up. Didn't sound like anything was wrong with him, they just didn't want to buck him back to
back weekends since he got rode.

Do not tell me that about Pillow Talk. Oh no. My heart is broken. Seems like we keep getting bad news lately. I saw an article in Bull Pen magazine recently, where they fixed a broken bone in one of the front legs, but I guess Pillow Talk's break was far worse. My stomach is sick.

That is so sad. You would think with modern medicine they would be able to avoid that. Even
if the bull cannot buck again.. Either way, sad to hear.

    Jawbreaker222:

I rarely comment here, but sometimes I just can’t help myself. Every single professional sport has progressed to the point that the athlete’s health and welfare is protected as much as possible. Baseball players wear batting helmets now. Football players wear pads and helmets. Racecar drivers wear fire proof suits, helmets and harnesses. Do you consider these sports to be “less than traditional” now? Is the tradition lost because they don’t get knocked out as much, or have as many concussions? Does that make an athlete better or tougher because he has multiple injuries and can’t play his sport? Does shortening your life expectancy make you more “traditional?”

Just because Bull Riders wear helmets and vests, doesn’t make the sport any less “traditional”, it just makes it safer. These men can have a life after bull riding, one where than can enjoy their old age. I’m sure the Frost family wishes that vests had been mandatory back in the “traditional” days.

If Pillow Talk is the bull who broke his leg last night then the report is not good. I was
informed earlier today that they did have to put the bull down due to the injury sustained
last night. This is so sad.

As some of you know I'm a photographer and I get to shoot boxing quite a bit. At the hall of fame each year I see quite a few boxers that should have warn helmets. No need to suffer brain injuries so you can have a sport remain pure. Drooling on yourself and not knowing where you are can be prevented---with a HELMET!

Every rider should have one on. Keep in mind that the bulls are being genetically engineered to be better athletes too. These are not the same old bulls, these are great bulls.

I have some friends that used to play hockey on the old Eastern hockey league of the 50's and 60's, most a re just about crippled, no padding back then, have false teeth, no mouthguards back then, have scarred faces and talk like they have no idea what they're saying sometimes, they didn't have helmets back then. Money didn't change any of that, technology, the need and common sense did.

Do you wear a seatbelt, Jawbreaker? It used to be tradition to not have seatblets in your car. Yes, driving is dangerous, but wearing a seatbelt takes all the "tradition" out of driving, right?

How about driving drunk? It used to be "tradition" to be able to hold your liquor enough so you could drive home. Do you drive drunk, too?
  • atl-falcon
    March 20, 2010
    Jawbreaker:

Really? Did you REALLY say it is more important to stick with tradition than to protect yourself and be safe? Did you REALLY imply that money is the reason bull-riders want to protect themselves...that wearing a helmet couldn't have ANYTHING to do with making sure you don't have to deal with "minor" issues like concussions, facial reconstruction, brain damage, death.

The NFL has done extensive research in the last few years on head injuries and concussions. There is a reason why the NFL now has multiple hoops to jump through in order to get back on the field after a concussion - brain damage is no joke! While I understand that PBR is not the NFL, there is no denying that landing on one's head multiple times a year (which happens to everyone in the PBR) is very similar to taking a hit, or hitting your head on a football field.
  • Common Sense
    March 20, 2010
Jawbreaker-- Use some common sense. How important is "tradition" to a cowboy if they can no longer compete due to excessive concussions, faces shattered, or injury. These young men have families to think of. They are not riding your ordinary "jump-kicker" that you see at local rodeos. Take a look at the bulls that they are riding. The reason these bulls are so dangerous is that they are the quickest, strongest, and most athletic out there. And the riders are getting on this caliber of bull every single weekend. All of these young men got into bullriding for the p!@#ion, the adrenaline rush, and the challenge of riding bulls. But if they are going to keep on tour at this level-- they need to be healthy and injury free. Riding with a helmet makes good sense.
  • dsw
    March 20, 2010
Is it also tradition to suffer m!@#ive head injuries! The younger riders start hearing helmets when they start riding calves & steers as kids, it is normal for them.

If wearing a helmet prevents a head injury and allows you to have a longer career how can this be a bad thing? I'm as much for tradition as anyone but common sense has to come into play too.
  • jawbreaker222
    March 20, 2010
Wish they all don't wear Helmet when they compete.. Yes, It a dangerous sport but it does take tradition out the sport... but money changes all that!.. could it be that soon in the future where you only will be riding bulls for only 5 second, outlaw bulls that have horns, all bullriders must have elbow pad, knee pads, leg pads, arm pad, heck they might given a choice of either riding with two hands.
The sponsors will decide all this rule in the future..not the PBR Boards of Directors.
RULES ARE CONSTANTLY CHANGING EVERY YEAR and Money dictates all that.

Yes, well--way to go Shane and Ryan. C'mon JB, get it together man. I'm kind of wondering whether or not your sprained riding elbow is the problem? Your fans haven't lost faith that you can cover any bull out there and do so with an exclamation point, so focus, dear one, focus!

wojo62 - I did not post with the intention of irritating you, warranting a snide comment or comments, so please refrain from being mean. I'm simply trying to communicate to JB and his fans, of which you have established you are not one.

Congrats Renanto, Mike, Shane, Pistol, and Aaron!

Looks like Slade was right again! Out of the 14 "new" bulls only 4 were ridden--3 for 82.75 and A whooping 88.75 for Mike Lee! Can't wait to see that ride, Champ!

Slade's estimate that of the 8 bulls a rider could score 84-87, 4 were ridden--the highest score to Pistol(!) 87.75

Hope there are lots of rank bulls in round 2 (I haven checked yet) cause most of my favorites get to pick after the half-way mark. I dread the draw!

Hope Billy, Travis, and JC heal up enough to ride tonight!
