'The Amazing Race' Cowboys make final 3 teams!
New York, NY (May 3, 2010) - PBR fan favorite Cord McCoy (Tupelo, Okla.), and his brother Jet, raced through the busy streets of Shanghai, China on the most recent episode of “The Amazing Race,” finishing the 11th leg of the race in second place. This means that the cowboys will be one of the final three teams to race for the $1 Million on next week’s season finale!
The final four teams spent their time in Shanghai again this week, searching the city for “The Garden Bridge” and arriving at the Longhua Temple, where they found their first Road Block. After arriving at the temple, one member from each team had to count the gold statues inside in order to receive their next clue.
From there, the teams encountered the second Road Block for this leg of the race. All teams decided to search a local stamp store for individual stamps with an image of a pig and their names on the bottom. The McCoys managed to sprint out of the store in first place, but one other team quickly passed them by in rush hour traffic.
Cord McCoy, who is currently competing on PBR’s Touring Pro Division, and his brother have won over the hearts of viewers with trademark phrases like “Oh my gravy!” and “Son of a buck!” and their dedicated cowboy work ethic. So far the brothers have won sailboats and vacations to Patagonia, Hawaii and Alaska.
Fans can catch the cowboy duo on the season finale of “The Amazing Race” next Sunday, April 9th on CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET. Check your local listings for details.
With only one episode of “The Amazing Race” remaining and the final three teams racing to the finish for $1 Million, Cord and Jet McCoy will soon be available for interviews. Any media that would like to schedule interviews with the McCoys, please contact Sara Broun at sbroun@pbrnow.com or 719.242.2800, x3371. May 6, 2010GO CORD AND JET!!!!! I managed a bullrider back in 2003 and we rode around the country riding in the IPRA circuit and there is where we met Cord. OMG, Cord has the greatest smile ever and the boys are such true gentlemen. These guys are the real deal and I can't wait to watch. God bless them both. I got my fingers crossed!!!! May 4, 2010PBR-baglady: I'm afraid you've mistaken Kody Lostroh with Shane Proctor. J.B. and Shane are brothers in law not J.B. and Kody. It would be great if there were PBR bull rider teams on The Amazing Race as a regular thing. Heck, it'd be great if there were more true-blue cowboys in general. Not those phoney wanna be cowboys/cowgirls. They get on my nerves. Get the boots and they think they're the real deal. The only reason I even watch the amazing race is because Jet and Cord are on it. Heck that's the same reason I watched dancing with the stars last year...cause Ty Murray was on it. -

May 4, 2010FaithMoriah - As a newbie bull riding fan, I'm proud of them now if we can get Kody Lostroh & J.B Mauney [the bull riding brothers in law] to appear on a version of it then I'd really be happy.
I think the bull riding brother-in-laws you are referring to would be JB Mauney and Shane Proctor. -

May 4, 2010They've been so humble during this whole thing that it's about time they'd be rewarded for their actions, even if they don't actually win the money [which I'm not saying they won't but look at who they're up against], it's still an accomplishment, everyone thought they'd be "under the radar" & underestimated but these boys have proven time & time again that it's about time they receive the accolades they're deserving of. As a newbie bull riding fan, I'm proud of them now if we can get Kody Lostroh & J.B Mauney [the bull riding brothers in law] to appear on a version of it then I'd really be happy. -

May 4, 2010If it were not for Cord and Jet on the Amazing Race I probably wouldn't be watching but since
they are in the race I nave found the Amazing Race a must see. Each weekend since the McCoys'
started has been so full of action and anticipation. These two amaze me by their ethics and
you just gotta love them. I have pictures of Cord during a PBR event and he is always smiling
and Jet seems to be calculating. They make an awesome team. Will watch next weekend and hope
that they win the race and if by chance that they don't I will still be proud of them for
being such cl!@#y guys as they are.
Cheering for ya in Oklahoma. -

May 4, 2010I've never watched the show--live out in the boonies w/o network TV. BUT...love reading on the website about Cord and Jet. After a few years of watching PBR on Versus (yes, I even left DirecTV to keep getting Versus!) I almost feel that Cord is my old buddy. Would it be possible for anyone to NOT cheer for him? -

May 4, 2010Good luck, Cord and Jet, in the finale. I have never watched The Amazing Race until this
season, and watched it this time only because you guys were on it. I have enjoyed every
show and have been rooting for you all the way. From the comments I have heard and read,
there are a lot of people that hope you win and admire you for the attitude you have
displayed on this show. -

May 3, 2010I too wish Cord and Jett the best of luck to win this. My hubby said after sunday nights show
that they wouldn't win it because they are the team that america wants to win it and it will
be fixed so they don't. I sure hope he is wrong and they win this. It has been a blast
watching them every week.
I will be glued to the show with popcorn and pepsi cheering you both on. -

May 3, 2010I'm hoping Jet & Cord take first place and win the million, but believe they are winners no matter what happens on the last leg of the race. Great job and best of luck! -

May 3, 2010As a Canadian who has watched TAR since the beginning, I can say that Jet & Cord are the only
team that has never displayed any of the stereotypical "Ugly American" characteristics that makes
the rest of the planet think all Americans are self centered and pushy. They
have made their mommas proud and make me proud to say I am a cowboy! -

May 3, 2010Never having watched TAR before this season, I have no idea what happens in the finale. I'll be upset if the Cowboys don't win because of some one-time-only good luck that falls on one of the other couples. Their accumulated success should count for something in the finale. Can you tell I'm totally biased? I'm going to tape the show, watch the last 5 minutes first, then watch the whole thing. I could easily have a stroke waiting for the end of the show. Oh My Gravy! Cord: Trademark that! God bless our Cowboys! They are so popular, I bet this is going to boost PBR ratings. Hey, Versus: take note! -

May 3, 2010We have watched Race every season but this has been special and more nerve racking since we
know one of the teams...... I met Cord two or three times at events and he is always a
joy to talk to with his great grin!!!!!
Hope Cord & Jet are first but if not what a great adventure they have had. Fantastic show
guys.... Congrats!!!!!! -
