‘BOUT TIME – J.W. Hart has offered a $25,000 winner-take-all 1,000 Miles From Home Challenge between reigning PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney and four-time defending PRCA champion J.W. Harris. While Mauney is scheduled to face 2012 PBR World Champion Bull Asteroid, Harris will take on 2013 PRCA Bull of the Year Shepherd Hills Tested.
MAUNEY MADNESS – Mauney has ridden in the PBR for nine years, making it to the Built Ford Tough World Finals seven times and winning the event average twice. The 2013 PBR World Champion has ridden 55.77 percent of the bulls he has faced throughout his career, including two-time World Champion Bull Bushwacker and both bulls that he and J.W. Harris will face this weekend – Asteroid and Shepherd Hills Tested.
NEW ADDITION – Harris is new on the PBR BFTS scene this year after spending the last 10 years riding in the PRCA. Harris has four PRCA bull riding titles under his belt, qualifying for the National Finals Rodeo seven times in his career and winning the event average twice.
