ROAONKE, Va.Junio Quaresima (Meridiano, Brazil) won his first event of the year at the PBR Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) Roanoke Rumble event Saturday night at the Berglund Center.

Quaresima began his weekend on Friday night with a qualified ride before he covered Player 1 (Hat Brand Rodeo) for 82.5 points in Round 2. He unfortunately was unable to get a score in the championship round but his two rides were enough to get him the victory. Quaresima earned $5,950 along with 120 points towards the PBR world standings.

Winners of each RVT event in 2018 will be guaranteed at least one opportunity to compete at a regular-season PBR 25th: Unleash The Beast event. Thanks to his victory in Roanoke, Quaresima earned an invitation to PBR Last Cowboy Standing in Las Vegas, Nevada May 4-5.

Second place was snagged by Austin Richardson (Wilmer, Texas). He rode Dirty Laundry (J Bar W) for 82.5 points in Round 2 before bucking off in the championship round. Richardson will be walking away from the weekend with 70 points towards the world finals and a check for $4,250.

Wesley Lourenco (Santo Antonio da Barra, Brazil) won Round 1 on Friday and he finished in third place with his lone qualified ride atop Speckled Chicken (Jared Allen’s Pro Bull Team) for 87.5 points. Lourenco earned $3,150 and 40 world points.

Anderson Alencar (Xambre, Brazil) and Sevi Torturo (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) tied for fourth place after earning 87 points in Round 1, respectively. Alencar rode High Voltage (Jared Allen’s Pro Bull Team) while Torturo covered Big Jim (Jared Allen’s Pro Bull Team). Each earned $1,870 and 17.5 points towards the world standings.

The next stop on the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour will be in Des Moines, Iowa for the Des Moines Invitational at Wells Fargo Arena on April 21.
