PUEBLO, Colo. - The PBR (Professional Bull Riders) is half-way through its 25th year of competition, and the stretch run to the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing and exciting finishes in the sport’s history.

Over the course of 17 events in the first half of the year, there have been six different riders ranked No. 1, with 13 different cowboys riding to event wins. Currently only 301 points separate the two top riders in the world, No. 1 Kaique Pacheco and No. 2 Claudio Montanha Jr., setting the stage for a nine-event second-half slugfest in a race to be crowned the 2018 PBR World Champion.

Amid one of the tightest points races in PBR history, CBS Sports, the exclusive television home of PBR, will televise 10 total events as riders make their final push before the World Finals in Las Vegas on Nov.7-11. All 10, including the World Finals, will air on CBS Sports Network, with CBS broadcasting coverage from five of the remaining 25th PBR: Unleash The Beast events.

Along with the last of four PBR Majors in Nashville, CBS Sports and CBS Sports Network will offer coverage in Tulsa, Springfield, Fairfax and Milwaukee with the popular PBR 15/15 Bucking Battles. These special bonus rounds feature the Top 15 riders in the world competing against the Top 15 bulls.

The second half of the schedule will be highlighted by the elite tour’s first-ever stops in Atlantic City, New Jersey and Fairfax, Virginia, right outside the nation’s capitol along with a return to Milwaukee, Wisconsin after a seven-year hiatus.

The tour will debut at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Sept. 15-16 before heading down the freeway to Fairfax, Virginia and the EagleBank Arena on Sept. 22-23. Last visiting Milwaukee in 2011, the PBR will buck back to the city by debuting in the new state-of-the-art home of the Milwaukee Bucks, the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center, on Oct. 6-7.

The stretch run to the PBR World Championship begins with a stop at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Aug. 11-12.

Bridgestone Arena will then welcome the toughest sport on dirt to Nashville for the fourth Major of the season on Aug. 17-18. The special two-day Music City Knockout presented by Cooper Tires will feature the only bracket-style format included on the 2018 schedule.

The elite tour will then travel to Springfield, Missouri, on Sept. 7-9 for its 10th consecutive visit to JQH Arena with the PFIWestern.com Invitational.

Following stops in Atlantic City and Fairfax, the PBR heads to the Lone Star State for the WinStar World Casino and Resort Invitational in Austin on Sept. 28-29. After the stop in Milwaukee, the tour then bucks into Greensboro, North Carolina, on Oct. 13-14 at Greensboro Coliseum.

The regular season will conclude with the 18th trip to the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho on Oct. 20-21.

The culmination to the season will be at the 25th PBR World Finals: Unleash the Beast on Nov. 7-11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
