By PBR

A capacity crowd at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nev. were thrilled by the hard hitting second round of the Professional Bull Riders' (PBR) Reno Classic presented by Silver Legacy and Eldorado Hotel and Casino, stop number 24 on the elite Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS). "Mighty" Mike White (De Kalb, Texas) claimed victory in the round with an 89.5 point ride aboard Little Bo owned by 4C's/Sills/Mosley/Radke. White added $2,730 to his PBR career earnings of more than $1.2 million dollars. Matt Bohon (Cole Camp, Mo.) and Paulo Crimber (Olimpia, Sao Paulo, Brazil) tied for second in the round with scores of 88.25 points. Bohon rode Chad Berger Bucking Bulls' Frank the Tank while Crimber rode Chad Berger/Larry Ryken's Chicken Creek for the required eight seconds.

Wiley Petersen (Fort Hall, Idaho) currently leads the standings of the event with a combined total on two bulls of 174.25 points. Crimber currently sits in second place with a total score of 172 points while Renato Nunes (Buritama, Sao Paulo, Brazil) holds down third place with 169 points on two bulls. There are seven men who have ridden two bulls thus far in the Reno Classic presented by Silver Legacy and Eldorado Hotel and Casino. Sunday's third and Built Ford Tough Championship Round promise fans an action packed afternoon.

Not only were the cowboys competing for big bucks, the evening's event included an exhilarating American Bucking Bull Inc. (ABBI) Classic competition for the three and four year old bulls. With a score of 89.25 points, Russ Gant's Rowdy You Hou claimed the victory and $9,164 for his performance. Kaycee Simpson's Lightning McQueen and Jason Diedrich's JR's Jacket tied for second and third in the competition with 89 points. Both bulls earned $4,582 in PBR bucks.

ABBI Classic bulls will be featured in Reno during Sunday's action when it culminates with an electrifying championship round for of the top 15 qualifiers who will be chasing a shot at the prestigious event title. On Sunday, the top ABBI Classic bull of the weekend will be determined based upon the highest cumulative scores of the weekend.

With 2005 PBR World Champion and current Built Ford Tough Series Points Leader Justin McBride (Elk City, Okla.) out of competition due to a dislocated shoulder suffered in Chihuahua, Mexico in August, the number two man in the world J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.) has an opportunity to gain ground in the race for the 2007 PBR World Championship title.  Mauney failed to cover Chad Berger and Clay Struve's Big Mack in first round competition but tonight topped Get A Grip Bucking Bulls' Dog Pile for a score of 86.25 points-enough for sixth place in the round. He will have one more chance to gain ground on McBride on Sunday when the Reno Classic presented by Silver Legacy and Eldorado Hotel and Casino concludes.
