"Walk The Line is a good little bull who is only four or five years old, but you can tell he is going to develop into a great one,” said McBride in describing tonight’s victorious ride. “He’s always been a lot to handle.”
Walk the Line is the second bull that McBride has covered in Finals competition, adding more than 400 valuable points to increase his lead in the race for the PBR World title.
When asked about his sudden return to his regular season form, McBride commented, “I have been nearly mistake free these past two nights. I felt great tonight and without any breaks this week I feel like I’m finally back in a rhythm. The bulls will only get ranker and ranker as we head to the finish this weekend and that seems to be where I usually shine.”
Tonight 20 of the season’s top 45 riders successfully rode bulls in the fifth round, including Wiley Petersen (Fort Hall, ID) who took over the event lead, with a five-round score of 354.75, with Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, BZ) and Billy Robinson (Galax, VA) hot on his heels with scores of 349.75 and 345.5, respectively.

Third place Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, BZ) is the only other rider to break the 10,000-point barrier with 10,027 in the race for the $1 million bonus which will be awarded to the 2007 PBR World Champion based on earning the most PBR Built Ford Tough Series Points. Marchi rode Robinson/Tedesco’s Barbosa to an 86.5 placing 15th in the round.
