Travis Briscoe (Edgewood, N.M.) conquered Rip & Dip, owned by Chad Berger and Clay Struve, for 88.25 points to split second and third place money with Greg Potter (Queensland, Australia). By virtue of winning the third long go round in Madison Square Garden on January 6th, Brian Canter (Randleman, N.C.) was eligible to compete for the $5,000 Enterprise Rent-A-Car “Ride with the Best” bonus after the first round tonight. Canter successfully covered Frontier and Teague Bucking Bulls’ Elise’s Wrangler to claim the bonus.
For the second time this season, the “Draft” Round will add a compelling component to the action. The format, which debuted in Madison Square Garden, incorporates a “draft” round at all three-day events. The bull riders will have the opportunity to choose, based on their performance on Friday night, the bull they’d like to ride on Saturday evening.
