#InCaseYouMissedIt: Leme wins first UTB event in almost two years

Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

By Darci Miller

The Unleash The Beast field may be missing the 2024 World Champion, but the 2025 world title race is already shaping up to be a banger. Jose Vitor Leme reminded us who exactly he is, Dalton Kasel stayed hot, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

On the Unleash The Beast…

For the first time since February of 2023, Jose Vitor Leme is back on top. The two-time World Champion won his first Unleash The Beast event in 20 months this past weekend in Ontario, California, going 3-for-3 with two 90-point rides to do so. After missing most of the 2024 season with an injury, it’s safe to say Leme is officially back.

Could this be Dalton Kasel’s year? After a second-place finish to begin the season in Tucson, Arizona, Kasel won Round 1 in Ontario to keep his momentum going strong, ultimately finishing in fourth place overall.

In the Touring Pro Division…

Grayson Cole took the event win at the PBR Stockyards Showcase thanks to an event-high 89-point ride in Round 1.

Up north in PBR Canada…

The 2025 PBR Canada season got underway this past weekend in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, with Tyler Craig going 2-for-2 for the event win.
