ODESSA, Texas – Country music fans and bull riding enthusiasts, get ready for an unforgettable night of high-octane honky-tonk and adrenaline-pumping action! The second annual PBR Chevron Showdown presented by Ariat Texas Rattlers is set to take over Ector County Coliseum on June 12, featuring a thrilling three-team bull riding format and a post-event concert by country music legend Dwight Yoakam.

This year’s PBR Chevron Showdown, part of PBR’s Challenger Series, will showcase an exciting matchup between two of the top championship teams in the PBR Camping World Team Series — the 2022 PBR Team Champion Nashville Stampede and the 2023 PBR Team Champion Ariat Texas Rattlers — alongside the Odessa College Wranglers rodeo team. Fans can expect edge-of-your-seat action as these elite riders go head-to-head in a spectacular competition.

Beyond the excitement in the arena, the Chevron Showdown is anchored by a landmark charity initiative. Through the "$800 for 8 Seconds" program, Chevron will donate $800 to a local organization each time a Texas Rattlers rider logs a qualified ride—both at the June 12 event and throughout the 2025 PBR Camping World Team Series season. In 2024, this initiative generated over $80,000 for Permian Basin charities, benefiting organizations such as the Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center Hippotherapy Program, FFA programs in MISD and ECISD, and the Reeves County Junior Livestock Show.

Following the bull riding action, fans will be treated to a high-energy performance by Grammy-winning country music icon Dwight Yoakam. Known for his signature blend of classic country and rock and roll, Yoakam’s electrifying stage presence and toe-tapping hits promise to keep the crowd on their feet long after the last bull bucks.
