MILL SPRING, N.C. – As action for the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Challenger Series event in Mill Spring, North Carolina, got underway Friday night at Tryon International, Jeferson Silva (Pontese Lacerda, Brazil) rode supreme, winning Round 1 of PBR Tryon, powered by Stuller Power Solutions. 

Silva was tasked with Big Reputation (Blake Sharp/Hanks) in Round 1. 

Remaining in perfect time with the powerful animal athlete, Silva made the requisite 8. Marked 84 points, the score proved enough to clinch Silva the round win and vault him to the early event lead. 

Courtesy of the golden score, Silva earned 28 Challenger Global points. 

Silva was the lone rider in 31 attempts to convert Friday evening as PBR’s animal athlete superstars headlined the evening’s action.

The bull pen was led by The Player (Blake Sharp), Red Hot (Universal Pro Rodeo/Delmas/Williams) and Bucktown (Blake Sharp/Michael Floyd). Each bovine delivered an unrivaled 43.5-point bull score.

The Player earned the points for his 4.67 seconds of work with Brandon Chambers (Newport, North Carolina), while Red Hot lit up the scoreboard when he tossed Jonathan Nascimento Dias (Pecanha, Brazil) in 1.9 seconds, and Bucktown wowed the crowd when he upended Jose Ramirez (Marshall, North Carolina) in 1.82 seconds.
