PBR Teams Outlook: Breaking down the Top 40-ranked 2025 Unleash The Beast riders

Austin Gamblers set to roster six of UTB’s Top 22 riders with title defense set to begin next month in Oklahoma City, July 11-13.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Heading into last month’s 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast, PBR.com broke down which PBR Camping World Team Series squads were most represented amongst the 40-some riders invited to Cowtown Coliseum.

But, in case you didn’t notice, the standings witnessed quite the shake-up by the time the three-segment competition concluded Sunday afternoon inside AT&T Stadium.

We had a good idea which riders would find themselves ranked inside the Top 40 or so once World Finals starting lineups were announced. However, fans saw several cowboys rise to the occasion under the brightest lights in the business.

Which means there are a lot of folks to be excited about heading into this summer’s fourth season of PBR Camping World Team Series drama.

And when it comes to trendy upside, it’s damn hard not to start with the 2025 PBR Rookie of the Year in Hudson Bolton, who made the most of his late-season return.

When the eight-round finale began, New York Mavericks teammate Leonardo Castro was the highest-ranked member of the team, No. 12 to Bolton’s No. 26 spot. Yet, thanks to a fourth-place finish within Eliminations competition flanked by a runner-up effort at the Championship stage (courtesy of a whopping 6-for-8 slate) during his very first World Finals appearance …

… Bolton ended the season ranked No. 7 overall.

And with one of the shiniest buckles a first-year talent can secure.

So, if any fans were feeling bad for the 2024 expansion unit Mavericks needing some time to find its footing, it feels safe to say they’ve at least found their star heading into New York’s second season.

Joined by the likes of No. 20 Castro, No. 33 Leandro Zampollo and No. 36 Mason Taylor, Head Coach Kody Lostroh should be feeling confident heading into the team’s training camp.

Knowing 40 divided by 10 (representing each of the league’s teams) is four means the second-year squad is on par when it comes to having some established talent in the wings, officially ending the season with one tenth of the premier series pack’s Top 40 ranked cowboys.

Acknowledging two of said 10 squads (Oklahoma Wildcatters, Kansas City Outlaws) have fewer than four, while just two others are above that point on the measuring stick means the Mavericks are, in theory, right in the middle of the pack when it comes to positioning themselves for a run in 2025.

Realizing six of the 10 have an even four men ranked within World Finals qualifying range suggests the fourth season of PBR Teams excitement is trending to be another parity-ridden shootout.

Exactly what 5-on-5 supporters are looking for!

Of course, remembering the ever-loaded Austin Gamblers added Sage Steele Kimzey to the equation reminds us the Gamblers are set to bring a tour-leading seven Top 40-ranked cowboys into this season’s run.

Add in 2025 PBR Teams New Rider Draft selection Vinicius Pinheiro Correa and it’s easy to see why they’re considered favorites to defend their title.

2025 Unleash The Beast Standings:
No. 1 Jose Vitor Leme (Austin Gamblers)
No. 2 Dalton Kasel (Austin Gamblers)
No. 3 Brady Fielder (Texas Rattlers)
No. 4 John Crimber (Florida Freedom)
No. 5 Sage Steele Kimzey (Austin Gamblers)
No. 6 Clay Guiton (Carolina Cowboys)
No. 7 Hudson Bolton (New York Mavericks)
No. 8 Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (Missouri Thunder)
No. 9 Kaiden Loud (Nashville Stampede)
No. 10 Luciano De Castro (Arizona Ridge Riders)
No. 11 Cort McFadden (Oklahoma Wildcatters)
No. 12 Keyshawn Whitehorse (Arizona Ridge Riders)
No. 13 Andrew Alvidrez (Missouri Thunder)
No. 14 Kaique Pacheco (Austin Gamblers)
No. 15 Austin Richardson (Nashville Stampede)
No. 16 Alan de Souza (Nashville Stampede)
No. 17 Sandro Batista (Kansas City Outlaws)
No. 18 Lucas Divino (Austin Gamblers)
No. 19 Felipe Furlan (Missouri Thunder)
No. 20 Leonardo Castro (New York Mavericks)
No. 21 Claudio Montanha Jr. (Texas Rattlers)
No. 22 Dener Barbosa (Austin Gamblers)
No. 23 Koltin Hevalow (Kansas City Outlaws)
No. 24 Eduardo Aparecido (Arizona Ridge Riders)
No. 25 Anderson de Oliveira (Nashville Stampede)
No. 26 Julio Cesar Marques (Kansas City Outlaws)
No. 27 Elizmar Jeremias (Florida Freedom)
No. 28 Derek Kolbaba (Carolina Cowboys)
No. 29 Adriano Salgado (Carolina Cowboys)
No. 30 Daylon Swearingen (Carolina Cowboys)
No. 31 Joao Ricardo Vieira (Florida Freedom)
No. 32 Daniel Keeping (Texas Rattlers)
No. 33 Leandro Zampollo (New York Mavericks)
No. 34 Thiago Salgado (Florida Freedom)
No. 35 Boudreaux Campbell (Missouri Thunder)
No. 36 Mason Taylor (New York Mavericks)
No. 37 Vinicius Pinheiro Correa (Austin Gamblers)
No. 38 Ethan Winckler (Carolina Cowboys)
No. 39 Dawson Branton (Texas Rattlers)
No. 40 Bruno Carvalho (Arizona Ridge Riders)

Of course, that’s with all due respect to the other two Gamblers riders who finished within the Top 5, including three-time PBR World Champion No. 1 Jose Vitor Leme and No. 2 Dalton Kasel. Throw in established veterans like No. 14 Kaique Pacheco, No. 18 Lucas Divino and No. 22 Dener Barbosa and it’s understandable why they’re sitting atop a draft of our preseason power rankings.

Then again, for a star in No. 4 John Crimber coming damn close to earning his first gold buckle last month inside AT&T Stadium, it seems the Decatur, Texas, native is primed to set the bar for his Florida Freedom once again in 2025.

But that shouldn’t shock many folks at this point, as he stormed into his rookie 5-on-5 season and claimed the 2024 PBR Teams MVP honors just one summer ago.

In similar fashion as the Mavericks, the red, white and blue group has a young phenom in Crimber to build around – set to be joined by teammates in No. 27 Elizmar Jeremias, No. 31 Joao Ricardo Vieira and No. 34 Thiago Salgado.

Looking specifically at the Top 10 riders following the conclusion of the 2025 slate, eight of 10 teams are represented within UTB’s season-ending ranks, meaning only the Oklahoma Wildcatters and Kansas City Outlaws didn’t have a rider ranked in said territory.

Which is rather odd for the Outlaws, who had three different riders finish within the Top 10 of 2024 PBR Teams MVP standings in Sandro Batista (third), Cassio Dias (fifth) and Koltin Hevalow (tenth).

Obviously, Dias was forced to miss the 2025 premier series campaign – But Batista still managed a No. 17 finish, whereas Hevalow was forced to settle for a No. 23 finish.

Of course, with Cort McFadden ranking a career-best No. 11 when action inside Jerry World came to a close, that’s damn close to the Top 10 and reminds Wildcatters fans they very much have a star to build around.

Yet, with the Wildcatters trailing the pack rather notably with just one rider ranked in respectable territory, plenty of questions need to be answered ahead of J.B. Mauney’s second stint as skip.

Fresh off acquiring what would’ve been a second Top 11-placing talent from the Wildcatters in young stud Clay Guiton, the Carolina Cowboys have to be damn happy with what they’ve seen from the red-headed menace since acquiring him earlier this spring.

All while feeling rather confident the team will be able to replicate its hot start to the 2024 regular season despite losing Kimzey to the Gamblers over the offseason.

Lining up alongside veteran leadership in No. 28 Derek Kolbaba, No. 29 Adriano Salgado, No. 30 Daylon Swearingen and fellow youngster No. 38 Ethan Winckler should equip Guiton with all of the wisdom and support he could imagine. Not to mention Head Coach Jerome Davis, who remains revered as one of the tour’s top mentors.

Overall UTB Top 40 Team Breakdowns:
Austin Gamblers: 7
Arizona Ridge Riders: 4
Carolina Cowboys: 5
Florida Freedom: 4
Kansas City Outlaws: 3
Missouri Thunder: 4
Nashville Stampede: 4
New York Mavericks: 4
Oklahoma Wildcatters: 1
Texas Rattlers: 4

After seeing both No. 8  Paulo Eduardo Rossetto and No. 9 Kaiden Loud produce impressive Top 10 finishes, both the Missouri Thunder and Nashville Stampede understand they have their north star in place, 100%.

For Head Coach Ross Coleman and company, they’ll need to revisit the drawing boards to ensure they get the most out of No. 35 Boudreaux Campbell while continuing to lean on the noted leadership of No. 13 Andrew Alvidrez and youthfulness of No. 19 Felipe Furlan while assuming the switch-hitting professional in Rossetto can continue setting the pace.

For the 2022 PBR Teams Champion Stampede, Head Coach Justin McBride appears intent on continuing to surround his 20-year-old superstar Loud with plenty of veteran presence, including No. 15 Austin Richardson, No. 16 Alan de Souza and No. 25 Anderson de Oliveira, amongst the other elder statesmen set to compete who didn’t finish within this year’s Top 40.

Rounding out the “4 rider” club when it comes to the 2025 Unleash The Beast standings, both the Texas Rattlers and Arizona Ridge Riders are proven contenders when next month’s slate begins.

Each squad bolsters plenty of proven commodities, but it’s the 2023 PBR Teams Champions from Texas which roster No. 3 Brady Fielder. Having captured the league’s first-ever Great 8 Award in 2024 by leading the entire tour in riding percentage, the Australian has helped put the pedal to the medal when it comes to accepting the idea that Down Under talent really can produce. Teaming up and knocking down matchups against some of the fiercest animal athletes on the planet, the lanky cowboy will single-handedly keep the Rattlers in a majority of games this summer. But if No. 21 Claudio Montanha Jr., No. 32 Daniel Keeping or No. 39 Dawson Branton can bring some of the heat they did this past premier series season, they’ll have a chance to make some noise in Sin City once more.

Something the Ridge Riders very much did in their first two seasons – competing on Championship Sunday inside T-Mobile Arena. However, after getting knocked out during last year’s Ride-In Round, Head Coach Colby Yates has his team hungry and grinding as they very much intend on making a run in 2025. Which would make sense considering their roster overall, not to mention the trio of cowboys who enjoyed Top 24 seasons in No. 10 Luciano De Castro, No. 12 Keyshawn Whitehorse and No. 24 Eduardo Aparecido. Add in No. 40 Bruno Carvalho, who’s flashed in his own right during summer series past, and the southwest-based contingent could be a sincere dark horse.

All of that to say … UTB can and regularly has suggested potential standouts set to shine during the PBR Camping World Team Series. Yet, at the same time, we’ve witnessed quite a few stars pronounce themselves within the camaraderie-driven series, eventually going on to make an impact within the individual season just the same.

We don’t know what Year 4 has in store quite yet – but we have a feeling it’s going to be RANK!
