CALGARY, Alta. – On Thursday night, at the third iteration of the Cody Snyder Charity Bullbustin’, part of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada Touring Pro Division, three-time national Champion Aaron Roy (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) rode supreme, winning the event to overtake the No. 7 rank in the race for the 2025 Canadian Championship.

Roy was tasked with Get Rhythm (Skori Bucking Bulls) at Grey Eagle Resort and Casino. In what proved to be a perfect pairing, Roy dominated the bovine athlete for 87.5 points to secure the win at the one-round event.

The veteran contender earned 38 national points and rose from No. 8 to No. 7 in the race for the 2025 PBR Canada Championship, and accompanying $100,000 bonus, as he chases his unprecedented fourth title this November.

Atop the standings, No. 4 Cody Coverchuk (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan) finished sixth to continue gaining ground on the Top 3 competitors, all of whom bucked off Thursday night.

Coverchuk rode Wild Time (Vold Rodeo) for 83.5 points, netting 12 national points. While he remained No. 4 in Canada, he climbed within 363.17 points of No. 1 Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan).

Buttar was unable to grow his lead as he was bested by All Apologies (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) in 4.75 seconds. Suffering a similar fate, No. 2 Jake Gardner (Fort St. John, British Columbia) was bucked off by Whiskey Moon (Skor Bucking Bulls) in 4.25 seconds, and No. 3 Jared Parsonage (Maple Creek, Saskatchewan) was upended by Kraken (Skori Bucking Bulls) in 2.63 seconds.

Returning to the top of the event leaderboard, Julio Cesar Marques (Tatui, Brazil), who rides for the Kansas City Outlaws in the separate PBR Teams League, was second, collecting 28 national points.

Marques outlasted Bad Intentions (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp.) for 86 points. He rose from No. 27 to No. 22 in the Canadian standings.

Missouri Thunder rider Andrew Alvidrez (Seminole, Texas) was third.

Alvidrez garnered 18 national points for his 85-point ride on Times A Wasting (Thompson Rodeo Livestock). Courtesy of the bronze showing, Alvidrez rose from No. 32 to No. 30 in the Canadian standings.

Rounding out the Top 5 and tying for fourth were Australians Macaulie Leather (Calliope, Queensland, Australia) and Callum Miller (Warwick, Queensland, Australia).

The duo of Texas Rattler riders each logged 84.5-point rides to net 14 Canadian points. Leather rode Leader Of The Pack (Thompson Rodeo Livestock), while Miller conquered Batter Up (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp.).

In the Canadian standings, Leather remained No. 28, while Miller rose one position from No. 30 to No. 29.

In the bull pen, Muffin Man (Vold Rodeo) bucked supreme, crowned the Bull of the Event. The powerful animal athlete was marked an unrivaled 44 points for his 1.5 seconds of work against Austin Paley (Beverlodge, Alberta).
