CBS GAME OF THE WEEK SPOTLIGHT:  Sunday’s CBS Game of the Week will showcase a high-stakes matchup: Texas Rattlers vs. Austin Gamblers.

While Austin readies to defend home dirt, the spotlight is on the red-hot Gamblers. Riding a six-game win streak, the Gamblers halted Arizona’s nine-game tear behind clutch efforts from Andrei Scoparo, Vinicius Pinheiro Correa, Dalton Kasel, and Dener Barbosa. With the standings tightening behind Arizona, Austin will be looking to protect its momentum in front of a home crowd.

For Kansas City, intrigue builds as newly acquired Jeferson Silva, traded from Florida earlier this month, makes his debut in orange and black. His addition could prove pivotal as the Outlaws (6-5) fight to stay inside the league’s top five.

STRUGGLING SQUAD: The Oklahoma Wildcatters (2-9) remain at the bottom of the standings but pulled off their biggest win of the year in Nashville thanks to Cort “The Hammer” McFadden’s 90-point closer over Texas. Oklahoma will look to keep its spark alive in Austin, while New York (3-8) aims to build on a dramatic Marco Rizzo walk-off victory over Kansas City. Florida (7-4) also remains steady after handling Carolina behind Elzimar Jeremias and John Crimber, seeking to cement itself among the contenders.

REMATCH RECAP: Several marquee rider-bull duels highlight the weekend in Austin. Everton Natan da Silva will again square off with Bex Red Eye after topping the bull for 89.25 points earlier this season, while Brady Fielder looks to stay perfect against Woody, having gone 3-for-3 in past meetings including a 90.75-point ride in Oklahoma City. Sage Steele Kimzey reunites with I Hate You, a bull he bested in March for 88 points, and Cody Jesus will attempt to repeat his 89.5-point effort against Jam Jam from their 2024 matchup.
