Stampede Days showdown: Nashville faces the league’s best on home dirt

Nashville looks to turn its season around at home against league leaders and top contenders.

Week four of the PBR Camping World Team Series is time for Stampede Days, one of the season’s most popular fan destinations, where the 2022 inaugural PBR Team Series champions will return to their home dirt in hopes of turning their season around.

This team has struggled since the very first season, with their lone bright spot being a huge one: a remarkable weekend in Las Vegas in 2022 when, fueled by coach Justin McBride’s epic pre-game speeches, they went on a tear to win the inaugural league championship.

Nashville will start the weekend with two wins and six losses on the season, finding themselves eighth in a 10-team league. Unfortunately, the matchups they’ve drawn for this weekend in Nashville are far from easy.

On night one of Stampede Days, Nashville will face the No. 1 team in the league, the Arizona Ridge Riders, a squad firing on all cylinders and riding a seven-game winning streak.

Day two brings the Carolina Cowboys, a team that, despite their impressive talent and multiple gold buckles, has underperformed this year. In my view, they should be a top-two team in the standings, and they’ll be looking to climb higher.

Nashville’s final matchup of the weekend is against the Missouri Thunder on day three, a contest that could go either way.

I expect a lot more out of Austin Richardson, who needs to find his rhythm quickly.

The absence of Kaiden Loud has been noticeable; he is one of Nashville’s biggest stars, and whether due to injury or other circumstances, his return, healthy and ready, is critical.

Alan de Souza needs to make the whistle, and at least one more rider must consistently do the same if Nashville hopes to put wins on the board.

It will be a challenging weekend for Nashville. But on home dirt at Bridgestone Arena, with the energy of the crowd behind them, they’ll have an advantage and they need to make a statement.

Will Nashville build momentum for the rest of the season in front of their home crowd? Only time will tell.

Who will come out on top and dance their way to three wins this upcoming weekend in Nashville?
