PBR Teams: Anaheim marks the seventh of 12 regular-season events during the fourth PBR Camping World Team Series season. The action inside Honda Center in Anaheim, California, kicks off Friday, September 5, at 10:45 p.m. ET, continues Saturday, September 6, at 10:00 p.m. ET, and wraps up Sunday, September 7, at 4:30 p.m. ET.
MARQUEE MATCHUP SPOTLIGHT:
Sunday’s slate features a heavyweight showdown between the Florida Freedom and Austin Gamblers, two teams separated by just one game in the standings and battling for the league’s top spot. Florida leads the league in riding percentage (52.9%) and qualified rides (45), while Austin enters on a five-game winning streak with José Vitor Leme powering their charge after Springfield.
Also on Championship Sunday: the Nashville Stampede face the Missouri Thunder in a battle of teams fighting to climb out of the bottom half of the standings. With Kaiden Loud returning from injury and rookie sensation Gustavo Luiz da Silva already proving himself as a closer, Nashville is looking for a momentum-shifting second half.
STRUGGLING SQUAD
The New York Mavericks (3-14) have endured a tough first half of their season, struggling to find consistency and sitting last in the standings. Despite sporadic flashes of promise from the entire roster — Leonardo Castro, Bob Mitchell, Mauricio Gulla Moreira, João Henrique Lucas, Marco Rizzo and Mason Taylor — the challenge remains stringing it all together in the same game to finally notch the big victory. With three matchups on tap in Anaheim, they’ll need a breakthrough performance to keep postseason hopes alive.
REMATCH RECAP
Anaheim will also feature several high-stakes rider-bull reunions. Cooper Davis will once again take on Ah Hell, a bull he previously covered for 89 points in 2023. Teammate Daylon Swearingen draws Money Pit after an 84.5-point ride last year. Brady Fielder is back against Cutting Edge Sugar Daddy, a matchup that went for 87.5 points at Stampede Days. Ezekiel Mitchell will look to break a 1-1 tie with BRUNT Haymaker, while Murilo Henrique de Oliveira gets another shot at There’s Your Sign after a quick buckoff earlier this year. Additional rematches include Koltin Hevalow vs. Triple Aught, Keyshawn Whitehorse vs. Red Popcorn, and Jeferson Silva vs. The Paint, all of which could be difference-makers in Anaheim’s standings shake-up.
