Rattlers look to slither their way into a bye and strike up some wins on their home dirt

Texas returns to Dickies Arena looking to climb standings and build momentum in front of home fans.

FORT WORTH, Texas — After the dust settled on Maverick Days in New York, the PBR Camping World Team Series turns to Fort Worth for Rattler Days, Sept. 26–28 inside Dickies Arena. The Texas Rattlers — the 2023 PBR Camping World Team Series champions — return to their home dirt where they have never lost (9-0) with a chance to climb the standings and build postseason momentum. Here’s a clean, day-by-day look at the Rattlers’ matchups and what to watch.

Friday, Sept. 26 — Texas Rattlers vs. Oklahoma Wildcatters

The weekend opens with the Rattlers (17–9, 4th) meeting the Oklahoma Wildcatters (10–16, 7th), led by J.B. Mauney in his second year as head coach.

Texas features a lethal one-two punch: Brady Fielder setting the tone as an elite leadoff man and Daniel Keeping backing it up. Oklahoma counters with reigning 2024 PRCA World Champion Josh Frost, along with Eduardo Matos and Cort McFadden, all capable of keeping the Wildcatters competitive.

With the grind of a long year (Teams plus Premier Series) and minimal breaks, depth matters — especially in the 3-4-5 holes. Texas is likely to post multiple scores; Oklahoma’s path is matching that production in the middle of the lineup. On paper, give a slight edge to Texas with homestand energy and recent form, but the Wildcatters are dangerous if they convert early.

Saturday, Sept. 27 — Texas Rattlers vs. Austin Gamblers

Battle for the Land.com Texas Cup: Champions vs. Champions

Champions collide as the 2023 PBR Camping World Team Series champions, the Texas Rattlers, take on the reigning and defending PBR Camping World Team Series champions, the Austin Gamblers.

  • Austin Gamblers: 18–8 (2nd)

  • Texas Rattlers: 17–9 (4th)

Can Austin rebound after Florida handled them in New York, or will Texas keep climbing the standings with consistent rides behind Fielder and Keeping? One major storyline: the health and availability of José Vítor Leme — if he’s good to go, it instantly changes the calculus. Texas has already gone 5-for-5 once this season; they may need that kind of complete effort again here. Austin’s roster management has been smart down the stretch, so the slight edge goes to Austin, but a packed Dickies Arena can absolutely swing a close one.

Sunday, Sept. 28 — Texas Rattlers vs. Kansas City Outlaws

On paper, Texas should handle the Kansas City Outlaws (9–17, 8th), a team that’s been battered by injuries yet keeps clawing — proved by their upset win over Arizona this past Saturday night at Maverick Days. Texas has also shown grit, going 3-3 in New York City despite winning two with just one qualified ride apiece. With Cody Lambert among the best in the league at managing challenges and moments, the Rattlers remain positioned to control this matchup.

Expect Texas as the strong favorite, but as always, every out counts.

Beyond the Dirt

The Midwest Outdoors Adaptability Foundation is carrying forward the same spirit of resilience seen in bull riding — but in a way that changes lives off the dirt. The Foundation provides access to the Action Trackchair, a groundbreaking all-terrain wheelchair designed to give people with mobility challenges the freedom to experience the outdoors without limits.

But here’s the harsh truth: no insurance will cover these life-changing pieces of equipment, and their hefty $25,000 price tag puts them out of reach for the very people who need them most. That is why the Midwest Outdoors Adaptability Foundation exists — to bridge that gap and make the impossible possible. Because you can’t put a price on freedom, independence and living life to the fullest.

Whether it’s navigating rough pastures, rolling through wooded trails, or simply enjoying time with family in places a standard wheelchair can’t reach, the Action Trackchair opens doors to a level of independence many thought was lost. It’s not just equipment — it’s freedom, dignity and the chance to live fully.

Just as PBR athletes push themselves to conquer challenges eight seconds at a time, the Midwest Outdoors Adaptability Foundation helps others overcome obstacles of their own, ensuring no one is left behind when it comes to the Western lifestyle and the outdoors.
