FORT WORTH, Texas – On Saturday night inside Dickies Arena, as the Texas Rattlers defended home dirt, the spotlight shifted from the chutes to the heart of service. The Be Cowboy Award, presented by Horse Soldier Bourbon, honored Lindsey Lott, Vice President of Partnerships & Communications at Boot Campaign, for her unwavering dedication to supporting Veterans and military families.

The award was presented by Will Summers, a Horse Soldier Bourbon ambassador, retired Green Beret and member of the famed ODA 595 “Horse Soldiers” team whose horseback mission in Afghanistan inspired the America’s Response Monument and the film 12 Strong. Summers’ presence underscored the bond between warriors and cowboys — both driven by grit, courage and service beyond self.

For Lott, that spirit has been ingrained since childhood. Raised near Dallas by a family devoted to volunteerism, she learned early the importance of showing up for others. Over the course of her career, she has blended corporate expertise with a passion for social good, forging partnerships that strengthen communities and uplift those in need.

At Boot Campaign, a national nonprofit uniting Americans to honor and restore the lives of Veterans and their families, Lott has been instrumental in advancing programs that heal the invisible wounds of war. The organization provides individualized, life-improving care through its Health & Wellness Program, and spreads holiday joy through Seasons of Service, ensuring families feel supported in every season of life.

“As a civilian, Lindsey feels a deep sense of gratitude for the service and sacrifice of the Veteran and military community,” said Boot Campaign leadership in introducing her. “She is driven to spotlight their courage and resilience, and to encourage small acts of service that lead to lasting change.”

Her work is fueled by a belief that anyone can cowboy up and lend a helping hand to those who have given so much. Whether telling Veterans’ stories, building lasting partnerships, or inviting Americans to lace up their boots in gratitude, she embodies what it means to serve others.

Returning to her Texas roots with Boot Campaign has been a full-circle moment for Lott. Watching Veterans experience transformative care through individualized programs, she says, reaffirms her lifelong belief that when we serve others, communities thrive.

As the Fort Worth crowd rose in applause, the honor reflected more than Lindsey Lott’s leadership. It celebrated the thousands of Veterans and families who have been touched by Boot Campaign’s mission, and the civilian champions who help carry it forward.

From all of us at PBR and Horse Soldier Bourbon, thank you, Lindsey Lott, for reminding us what it truly means to Be Cowboy.
