GLENDALE, Ariz. – Two seasons removed from moving to Sunrise, the Florida Freedom claimed its PBR Camping World Team Series regular season championship with a dominant 260-90 outing against the Kansas City Outlaws. The Freedom rose to 25-9 on the season with a game to go at Ridge Rider Days in Desert Diamond Arena. The No. 8 Outlaws dropped to 11-23.
The Freedom put up scores from João Ricardo Vieira (85.75 points on Play Time), João Lucas Campos (87.5 on Ah Hell) and John Crimber (86.75 on Baldy). With Thiago Salgado bucking off, Crimber leapfrogged his teammate to take the No. 1 position in the 2025 MVP race heading into the final game of the season on Sunday.
Koltin Hevalow delivered the Outlaws’ only qualified ride, scoring a team season-high 90 points against Sucker Pop on a re-ride. The Austin Gamblers clinched a first-round playoff bye after riding four bulls against the Carolina Cowboys (18-16) for a dominant 312.75-173.25 victory. Austin’s first two riders rode eight seconds as Sage Steele Kimzeyrecorded 83.25 points on Phantom followed by 71.5 points by Kaique Pacheco on Pepperoni on a declined re-ride. In the fourth frame, Callum Miller bested Gone Rogue for 72.5 points as the Gamblers turned down another re-ride offer. Lucas Divino bested Mike’s Motive for 85.5 points in the final ride for Austin on a re-ride attempt and Mike’s Motive’s141st career out.
A pair of rides for the Cowboys by Kyler Oliver for 86.5 points on Tijuana Two-Step and Derek Kolbaba aboard Bruce for 86.75 points weren’t enough to overcome the two-ride advantage.
The No. 2 Gamblers improved to 23-11, a game ahead of the Arizona Ridge Riders and Texas Rattlers. They join the Florida Freedom in clinching two of the available three first-round byes in Las Vegas at the PBR Teams Championship.
The No. 4 Texas Rattlers showed no mercy against the No. 7 Missouri Thunder, winning 349.5-169.25 to rise to 22-12 as the Thunder fell to 14-20. Texas rode its first four bulls, as Brady Fielder (87), Daniel Keeping (88.25), Qynn Anderson (86.5) and Claudio Montanha Jr. (87.75) bested their bovine counterparts. Missouri started 2-for-2 with Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (85 points) and Maverick Smith (84.25) earning rides followed by three buckoffs.
The No. 10 New York Mavericks (9-25) remained hot, winning their third straight game, this time over the No. 9 Oklahoma Wildcatters (11-23) in a 259.25-168.5 showing Saturday night. Leonardo Castro bested Smoke Down in the second out of the game for the Mavericks for 87.25 points. In the third frame, Mauricio Gulla Moreira tacked on 84.75 more aboard Moonlight Graham. Marco Rizzo earned the third and final ride for New York, tying the game-high score with 87.25 on Itchy Scratchy.
Oklahoma had an early ride by Eduardo Matos against Slingin Tubs for 86 points before Kase Hitt bested Big Timberfor 87.25 points.
The Nashville Stampede (14-20) pulled off a 257.25-255.5 upset of the host No. 3 Arizona Ridge Riders (22-12) Saturday night, moving into the No. 6 position in the standings. Nashville took an early 85-point lead with a leadoff ride by Alan de Souza aboard Horizons Creedmoor before Arizona took it back with 85.5 by Everton Natan da Silva against Kill Switch in the bottom of the first. Cody Jesus bested Wildfire for 85.25 in the third and Gustavo Luiz da Silva earned 87 against Snoop Dog in the fourth. Luciano De Castro bested Achilles for 86.25, giving Keyshawn Whitehorse a chance for a walk-off win. Whitehorse needed 85.75 for the win, but he rode Mr. Teller for 83.75, falling just short in the loss.
Ridge Rider Days concludes Sunday at 12:45 p.m. MT with the third and final day of the event and the 2025 PBR Teams regular season before heading to the PBR Teams Championship in Las Vegas Oct. 24-26.
