On the PBR Team Series...
KANSAS CITY, DAY 1
The weekend opened with fireworks as the Missouri Thunder pulled off one of the season’s biggest surprises, edging the Austin Gamblers 266.25-264.25. Maverick Smith and Andrew Alvidrez each put up 89.25-point rides on Blonde Bomber and Tchoupitoulas, sealing the win despite strong showings from Sage Steele Kimzey (87.5 on Milestone) and Kaique Pacheco (87.5 on I Hate You).
Florida continued its dominant campaign, logging four qualified rides in a 265.25-258.5 victory over Arizona. Joao Lucas Campos (87.5 on Margin of Error), Yan Victor Cunha (89.25 on Scrappy) and John Crimber (88.5 on J Lazy S) anchored the effort to secure the team’s 23rd win.
Texas extended its momentum with a commanding 262-176 win over New York, as Brady Fielder (89 on Constant Payne) and Qynn Andersen (88.25 on Buck) led the charge. Nashville found its footing with a 173-0 shutout of Oklahoma behind Alan de Souza (86.5 on Cookie) and Daniel Feitosa (86.5 on Red Light).
The night ended with a nail-biter between Carolina and Kansas City, where the Cowboys held on 175.75-173.5 thanks to Cooper Davis (88 on Toad) and Clay Guiton (87.75 on Snuggles). Eric Henrique Domingos gave the Outlaws a spark with 88.5 points on Woody, but the comeback fell short.
KANSAS CITY, DAY 2
Saturday delivered shockwaves across the league as both of the top-ranked teams fell. Josh Frost electrified the arena with a 92.5-point ride on two-time World Champion Bull Man Hater, powering Oklahoma past Florida 255-176. The Freedom’s John Crimber (89 on Smokey) and Yan Victor Cunha (87 on El Chapo) added late scores, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Wildcatters’ first-ever win over the league leaders.
In another upset, Nashville downed Austin 348.75-256.5 in one of the Stampede’s best performances of the season. Alan de Souza, Daniel Feitosa, Gustavo Luiz da Silva and Kaiden Loud all covered their bulls, with Loud’s 89.25 points on Sour Patch sealing the win.
Arizona climbed into the No. 3 spot in the standings by defeating Texas 174.25-86.25, led by Eduardo Aparecido’s 87.5 on Sizmagraf and Riquelme Santos’ 86.75 on Rafiki. Carolina kept pace with a 255.75-87.75 win over New York, sparked by Jess Lockwood’s 89.5-point ride on Nachos, while Kansas City brought the crowd to its feet in a 171.5-0 shutout of Missouri with rides from Pablo Soares (88.5 on Body Bag) and Natanael Serra Aires (83 on War Wagon).
KANSAS CITY, DAY 3
Sunday’s finale delivered more chaos as the underdogs continued to rise. In his first weekend of the season, Hudson Bolton walked off the No. 1-ranked Florida Freedom with 87.5 points on Vindicated, sealing New York’s 350.75-267.5 upset win. Teammates Bob Mitchell (88 on Down Payment), Julio Cesar Marques (85.25 on UB Smooth) and Mauricio Gulla Moreira (90 on Doze You Down) completed the Mavericks’ four-ride performance.
Arizona stayed red-hot, beating Austin 258.5-81.5 to move into a three-way tie for second in the standings. Eduardo Aparecido (87.5 on Milestone) capped his perfect weekend, with help from Everton Natan da Silva (85.75 on Felix) and Riquelme Santos (85.25 on Shank). Austin’s lone score came from Kaique Pacheco, who managed 81.5 on I Hate You.
Nashville’s historic weekend continued with a 252.25-87 victory over Carolina — the franchise’s first 3-0 regular-season sweep. Alan de Souza, Daniel Feitosa and Rogerio Venancio each delivered, while Cooper Davis’ 87 on Toad stood as the Cowboys’ only qualified ride.
Missouri held off Oklahoma 177.25-168 behind Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (89 on Snap Chatter) and Maverick Smith(88.25 on Punchy Pete). Meanwhile, Texas bounced back to close the weekend with a 175-85.5 win over Kansas City, thanks to Brady Fielder’s 88 on Noslaw Extrasauce and Qynn Andersen’s 87 on Snuggles.
