LAS VEGAS, Nev. – In a night inside T-Mobile Arena packed with a wild three-way play-in game, three-way last-chance game, and two action-packed 5-on-5 thrillers, the Arizona Ridge Riders, Carolina Cowboys, and Missouri Thunder each clinched a spot in advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2025 PBR Camping World Team Series Championship.

The Cowboys’ perfect game was the third 5-for-5 performance in PBR Teams history.

Facing an uphill battle as the 10th and final seed in the bracket, the New York Mavericks started the night by continuing their late-season surge with a four-ride 350.25-point performance to win the three-way play-in game. The Oklahoma Wildcatters (11-25) scored 260.25 over three rides and the Kansas City Outlaws (11-25) recorded 173.5 points despite the return of 2024 World Champion Cassio Dias, as both teams’ seasons came to a close.

The Mavericks’ Bob Mitchell bested Sizmagraf for 86.5 out of the gate for an early lead, then Leonardo Castro added 86.75 points on Milestone. Mauricio Gulla Moreira rode Stryker for 88.5 points in the third frame, a game high. Riding in a clinch situation in the final frame, Hudson Bolton solved Black Harbor, who had only been ridden twice before, for 88.5 more points to seal the victory.

The fourth-seeded Arizona Ridge Riders (23-13) advanced to the quarterfinals with a 255-176.25 win over the Missouri Thunder, who were sent to the last-chance game. Arizona’s first two riders earned points with Everton Natan da Silvascoring 86 on Mo Money, followed by Eduardo Aparecido taking 86.75 on Margin of Error. The icing on the cake came from Luciano De Castro besting Smokey for 82.25 points.

Fighting as the No. 5 seed, the Carolina Cowboys (20-16) clinched their third perfect game in franchise history and third in Teams Championship history, defeating the Nashville Stampede 433.25-261 to advance to the quarterfinals. Cooper Davis and Adriano Salgado each scored 85.75 points in the first two frames on High Caliber and Bam Bam, respectively. Clay Guiton continued the trend of rides with 83.75 on Ghost Face before two-time World Champion Jess Lockwood earned the game-high score of 90.25 against Oyster Creek Brawler to seal the win. Derek Kolbaba made it 5-for-5 by lasting eight on July for 87.75 points in late October.

In the last-chance game to close out Round 1 of the Teams Championship, the Missouri Thunder (16-21) eliminated the Nashville Stampede (15-22) and New York Mavericks (10-27) to move on to the quarterfinals. Paulo Eduardo Rossettohad the lone ride for Missouri, the highest score of the evening with 90.75 aboard Constant Payne. Rossetto went two-for-two on the night, uniquely riding with both hands over the two outs.

Round 2 kicks off Saturday night at 7:15 p.m. PT at T-Mobile Arena as teams look to make it to the semifinals Sunday.
