Sacramento has long been known as California’s beating heart of agriculture and food — a city built on fertile ground, river trade, and the belief that what you grow, raise, and earn must be worked for. From its roots in the original Gold Rush to its modern identity as the nation’s Farm-to-Fork Capital, Sacramento is a place where patience, grit and payoff still matter. The surrounding Central Valley feeds millions, the city’s restaurants celebrate the labor behind every plate, and the culture itself is grounded in the idea that nothing of value comes easy.
This weekend, that same mindset takes center stage — only this time, the harvest isn’t produce or gold. It’s points, pride and survival in the toughest sport on Earth.
The PBR Unleash The Beast Series storms into Golden 1 Center for Stop No. 7 of the 2026 season, one of only four three-day events on the regular-season calendar. With an additional round and expanded scoring potential, this format can create real separation in the World Championship race.
Sacramento knows something about earning what you get. This weekend, the PBR brings that truth crashing through the chutes.

Friday Night: Top Five Matchups & Go-Round No. 1 to Watch
Bull riding isn’t just about power — it’s about timing, respect and risk. In Sacramento’s first round, there are five matchups with intrigue, momentum and consequence — the very reasons fans buy tickets and tune in. There are no guarantees in this sport. Every encounter is a test, and no bull has ever read a résumé.
José Vitor Leme vs. Dirty Honey
Even though he sits at an uncharacteristic World No. 37 — competing in Sacramento from his champion’s provisional — anytime three-time World Champion José Vitor Leme is in the draw, expectations follow. Dirty Honey may not be the most talked-about bull on tour, but that matters little at this level. With each event, urgency mounts for Leme to regain his form.
Brady Fielder vs. Takedown
Brady Fielder hasn’t ridden up to his full potential as of late, but his talent is undeniable. Takedown is a powerful, honest bull who rewards sound fundamentals — Fielder’s forte.
Sage Steele Kimzey vs. Swirl Your Glass
Seven-time PRCA World Champion Sage Steele Kimzey didn’t build his résumé by avoiding rank bulls. Swirl Your Glass may not be a household name, but Kimzey’s experience and adaptability make this matchup one to watch.
Callum Miller vs. Blacktop Bandit
Callum Miller has been one of the most impressive riders on tour this season, continuing to compete at a high level despite riding with a broken jaw. Blacktop Bandit brings an athletic, unpredictable trip that tests timing and toughness.
Dalton Kasel vs. Wild Mustard
Dalton Kasel sits atop the world standings for a reason. Wild Mustard is a handful — quick, strong and capable of changing directions — but bulls don’t care about rankings.

Beyond the Dirt
After 27 years in the PBR, the moments that matter most to me happen beyond the dirt — where community, accountability and showing up for one another define this sport. In an instant, an accident, illness or injury can change a life forever. But mobility loss should never mean life stops.
That belief is why the Midwest Outdoors Adaptability Foundation exists. We provide Action Trackchairs to mobility-challenged civilians who cannot afford them, restoring access to the outdoors and the independence that comes with it. Serving individuals in Oklahoma and Arkansas, our mission is simple: no one should be left watching life through a window when freedom is still possible.
