Grand Forks, N.D. –After two action-packed nights in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Caic Cassio Carvalho (Tres Ranchos, Brazil) was triumphant as the only man to go 3-for-3, securing his first event win of the 2026 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour (PWVT) season.

The 32-year-old first put himself on the leaderboard within the Top 4 in Round 1 after being paired with Kephart’s Solomon for an impressive 84.75 points.

Keeping the same energy flowing as he entered Saturday night’s second round aboard UFC founder Dana  White’s bull, Koo Koo, he launched from the chutes in complete control for a solid 80-point score.

Heading into the championship round, Carvalho was dialed in to make the eight aboard Let’s Roll. Exploding from the chutes he bested his bovine partner for 86.70 points.

As the only man to best all three of his bulls over the weekend, Carvalho secured the event win and netted 139 Velocity Global points and moved to No. 29 in the Velocity standings.

Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May.

Macaulie Leather (Calliope, Queensland, Australia), who rides for the Missouri Thunder in the separate PBR Teams league, claimed second place for the weekend after going 2-for-3.

Paired with Toothless in Round 1, Leather was no match for the muscular animal athlete – hitting the ground after 7.55 seconds and having no score.

Early on Saturday, knowing he had ground to gain, he was paired with Cash On Black which resulted in an impressive 84.25-point ride that moved Leather into the championship round.

Entering the final round for the weekend, the 24-year-old launched from the chutes aboard Never Forget Despite the muscular bovine’s best attempt to conquer the matchup, Leather prevailed to the tune of 86.35 points.

For his efforts, he collected 86 Velocity Global points and now sits tied for the No. 7 spot in the Velocity standings.

Veteran, Brazilian rider Dener Barbosa (Paulo de Faria, Brazil) captured third place in Grand Forks.

After conquering his Round 1 matchup against Toasted, turning in an 85.5-point ride, Barbosa secured third place for the opening round on Friday.

Determined, the 31-year-old cowboy, who rides for the Austin Gamblers in the PBR Teams league, conquered his Round 2 matchup against Pearl Necklace turning in an 82.15-point ride and securing fourth place in the round.

Despite his best efforts as the weekend rolled to a close in the final round, Nachos won their matchup, throwing Barbosa to the dirt after 2.91 seconds.

For his 2-for-3 finish, Barbosa earned 69 Velocity Global points and sits at No. 19 in the standings.

California cowboy Kyle Eaton (Chico, California) kept the 2-for-3 trend flowing, finishing fourth for the weekend.

In Round 1, he successfully rode Bone Bruiser for a 81.5-point score.

In the opening round on Saturday evening, he was paired with Let’s  Tango, where he was again victorious in the matchup scoring 79.15 points.

Despite his less-than-ideal lower score in Round 2, he soared into the championship round.

Setting his sights towards the final round, he geared up for his match with Thunder Battle, where to the North Dakota’s crowd’s dismay, the athletic animal won the match up, throwing Eaton to the dirt after only 2.34 seconds.

Eaton collected 38 Velocity Global points.

Rounding out the Top 5 at Alerus Center after also conquering two of his three matchups, was, Christian Clay Oliveira (Iturama, Brazil).

In Round 1, he launched from the chutes making quick work of King Bo. As Grand Forks fans cheered, he made it to the buzzer, scoring 85.9 points and earning second place for the opening round.

Oliveira was paired with Snowball for Round 2, however the bull threw the 27-year-old to the dirt in 4.17 seconds.

Focused on getting the momentum back, he was paired with Bayou Bengal in the championship round. Clinging to his bovine partner, Oliveira was able to make the 8 despite a less-than-ideal 61.55 score.

For his weekend in Grand Forks, Oliveira earned 44 Velocity Global points.

The talented bull riders of the PWVT will next head to Lexington, Kentucky, for Cooper Tires PBR Lexington at Rupp Arena Feb. 13-14. In a double-up weekend, the PWVT will also be in Everrett, Washington, for the Busch Light PBR Everett at Angel of the Winds Arena on Feb 13-14.
