Key Storylines
The leaderboard is shifting and the riders are rolling as the 2026 Unleash The Beast season charges into Salt Lake City.
Jess Lockwood returns to action after sitting out Sacramento due to a scary dismount in Tampa. The two-time World Champion went 3-for-3 in Florida to win his first premier series event since 2020 and now sits No. 8 in the world as he eyes another gold buckle run.
Bob Mitchell, the 2022 Rookie of the Year, is also back on the dirt after being sidelined since New York City. He makes his return in Salt Lake City looking to regain his groove after rehabbing from injury since Madison Square Garden.
After going a perfect 3-for-3 to win PBR Greenville, an event impacted by Snowmageddon in South Carolina, Ezekiel Mitchell punched his ticket to the Unleash The Beast and now joins the draw in Salt Lake City riding a wave of momentum.
World No. 1 Dalton Kasel will miss Salt Lake City with a hip injury. He received scans on Feb. 3 and is hopeful for a return soon as he looks to hold onto his position atop the standings.
California native Andy Guzman made the championship round in his home-state debut in Sacramento, delivering a standout performance in front of a roaring crowd. He’ll look to keep that momentum going under the bright lights of Salt Lake City.
Meanwhile, John Crimber continues to bear down on the top two spots in the world. After a perfect 4-for-4 weekend and a shark cage celebration with Flint Rasmussen in Sacramento, Crimber now sits No. 3 — just 70 points behind Kasel and 38.5 points behind Clay Guiton, who finished second in Sacramento and continues to push forward in the title race.
