PBR | Grayson Cole dominates at Boot Barn PBR Greater Palm Springs

PALM DESERT, Calif. – Grayson Cole (New Ringgold, Pennsylvania) topped the field at the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour (PWVT) Boot Barn PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Greater Palm Springs over the weekend, earning his second event win of the 2026 season.

As the two-night event got underway on Friday, Cole was one of only three men that were able to match the strength and speed of the muscular animal athletes competing at Acrisure Arena for Round 1. Turning in an 87.6-point ride aboard Keystone, the 26-year-old sailed into night two already sitting atop the leaderboard.

Paired with Up and Up in Saturday’s opening round, Cole was 2-for-2 after earning another 87.6 points. Despite his best efforts for a flawless weekend, he was unable to ride Johnny Dang in the championship round – hitting the ground at just 1.95 seconds.

For his 2-for-3 weekend, Cole netted 136 Velocity Global points and moved to No. 8 in the Velocity standings.

Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May.

Braidy Randolph (Stephenville, Texas), who rides for the Texas Rattlers in the separate PBR Teams league, captured second place after going 1-for-3.

The lanky 25-year-old Texas man struggled to convert on Berzerk the first night but was able to put himself on the leaderboard after an 87.4-point tango with Rigorous Vengeance in Round 2. Matched with King Tut in Saturday night’s final round, he burst from the chutes, but the powerful bovine quickly prevailed.

For his efforts, Randolph collected 68 Velocity Global points and is now the No. 34 man in the Velocity standings.

California’s own Aaron Williams (Pismo Beach, California) captured third place.

After a 4.3-second defeat in Round 1 against Bison, Williams secured his spot on the leaderboard heading into the championship round after a solid 85.2-point ride on Screaming Polican in Round 2. Despite the upset in the final ride as Stewey tossed the wild-haired, home state favorite down at 3.22 seconds, his 1-for-3 finish earned 53 Velocity Global points and he now sits at No. 50 in the standings.

Fellow Californian Kingston Herrero (Danville, California) finished fourth for the weekend.

In the opening round on Friday evening, he was paired with Living on a Prayer, where he was successful, earning an 85.1-point score, and a second-place finish in the round. Setting his sights on climbing to the top of the leaderboard, he geared up for his match with Pogo in Round 2, only to hit the ground after a mere 2.15 seconds.

Herrero did not compete in the championship round but still collected 39 Velocity Global points for his efforts across the weekend.

Rounding out the Top 5 at Acrisure Arena was Zane Cook (Fort Gibson, Oklahoma).

As Friday night began, Cook was paired with Trippin, but the muscular animal athlete abruptly tossed him to the ground at 3.32 seconds. The 32-year-old veteran was then paired with Living on a Prayer in the second round where he turned in an 84.7-point ride. Despite his best efforts to stay seated on Unhinged in his championship matchup, he came down early – hitting the dirt after 2.71 seconds.

For his weekend in California, Cook earned 33 Velocity Global points and now sits at No. 21 in the tour standings.

The talented bull riders of the PWVT will next head to Fresno, California for the PBR Fresno at Save Mart Center March 27-28.
