TRAVELING BACK TO THE MIDWEST
The Unleash The Beast returns to Sioux Falls at a pivotal moment in the 2026 season, with just three events remaining before the World Finals in Fort Worth.
As the lone premier series stop in South Dakota, Sioux Falls becomes a proving ground — and with 216 points available across a three-day event, the opportunity for movement in the standings is massive.
With the race tightening and the margin for error nearly gone, the tour has officially entered its most critical stretch of the season.
LEADING THE WAY
The world title race remains razor thin heading into Sioux Falls.
• No. 1 John Crimber leads the standings for the third straight week and a season-leading fifth week overall.
• 311 points separate No. 1 Crimber and No. 10 Cort McFadden.
• 211 points separate the Top 5 riders.
• Five different riders have held the No. 1 ranking through 15 events.
Crimber has spent more time atop the standings than any rider this season, while Dalton Kasel has led for four weeks and Sage Steele Kimzey for three.
Consistency continues to define the contenders:
• Eleven different riders have won events this season.
• Kimzey (3 wins), Brady Fielder (2) and Kasel (2) are the only multi-time winners.
• Leandro Zampollo leads the tour with 24 qualified rides, riding at a 63.16% clip.
With more than half the field converting at 50% or better, parity across the tour remains undeniable — and with this much talent clustered at the top, one ride can shift everything.
BULL POWER ON DISPLAY
The bulls have delivered some of the rankest performances of the season in recent weeks, setting the tone heading into Sioux Falls.
Eight bulls eclipsed the 45-point mark in Indianapolis, including Cherry Shot (45.90), Doze You Down, Fire Fight, Ransom, Freedom Fighter, Red Demon, Buck Nasty and Nobody.
That momentum continued in Albuquerque, where seven bulls again broke the 45-point barrier, led by Pegasus, Fire Zone and Buck Nasty, all reaching 46.00 points — just 0.05 points shy of the season-high mark set by the late Man Hater.
With animal athletes performing at an elite level, the bulls remain just as critical in shaping the championship race.
NOTABLE RIDERS TO WATCH
Crimber continues to set the pace atop the standings after capitalizing on the Tallahassee Major, where he earned 120 points with a third-place finish. He has since added points in both Indianapolis and Albuquerque and looks to extend his lead in Sioux Falls.
Kimzey sits No. 2 and leads the tour with three wins this season but enters the weekend looking to rebound after going 0-for-3 in Albuquerque.
Fielder has been one of the hottest riders on tour, cutting into the world No. 1 lead week after week. After a dominant win in Indianapolis and strong showing in Albuquerque, he now sits just 63 points back of the top spot.
Claudio Montanha Jr. surged into contention with a perfect 4-for-4 runner-up finish in Albuquerque, vaulting from No. 28 to No. 18 and going 6-for-10 in his last 10 outs.
McFadden enters Sioux Falls nearing a major milestone, needing just two qualified rides to reach 100 on the premier series.
PLAYING ABOVE THE LINE
The UTB roster continues to evolve as Velocity Tour standouts earn opportunities on the premier series.
This weekend’s invites include Zane Cook, along with Top 5 Velocity Global riders Macaulie Leather and Dener Barbosa.
Mauricio Gulla Moreira, Andy Guzman, Joao Ricardo Vieira, Alex Junior da Silva, Mason Taylor, JaCauy Hale, Elijah Jennings, Romario Leite and Damien Krushall are also in the draw as alternates.
With ongoing cuts reshaping the roster, each out in Sioux Falls plays a direct role in who stays on tour and who goes home.
REMATCH RECAP
Round 1 in Sioux Falls brings a slate of familiar showdowns, as several riders look to rewrite the script against bulls that have had their number. Brady Fielder draws Ransom once again, still searching for his first qualified ride against the powerful bovine after two buckoffs earlier this season. Claudio Montanha Jr. meets Mystified for a third time following a pair of matchups during the 2025 Teams season that both ended early. Eduardo Aparecido will look for redemption aboard What’s Poppin after a 3.41-second buckoff in Salt Lake City, while Kaique Pacheco faces Hard Candy again, hoping to flip the result after their previous meeting.
Elsewhere, Lucas Divino gets another shot at DirtyBru, nearly three years after their World Finals clash, and Mauricio Gulla Moreira looks to settle the score with Stone Cold Gangster following a loss in Tampa. Thiago Salgado also re-enters the chutes against Chico, a matchup that never fully materialized during the 2025 Teams Championship after being ruled a re-ride. With the standings tightening, each of these rematches carries added weight, offering riders a chance at redemption when it matters most.
With the standings tighter than ever and the World Finals looming, this weekend has the potential to reshape the championship race in an instant—catch all the action live on Paramount+.
