Key Storylines
While the Velocity Tour Championship will be decided in Corpus Christi, the stakes extend far beyond the buckle. Riders are also competing for the final opportunities to qualify for the World Finals in Fort Worth, where the best in the world will collide.
A loaded title race headlines the weekend, featuring a mix of proven champions, rising stars and international contenders. Former Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Champion Grayson Cole is back in the hunt, alongside international standout Macaulie Leather, young talent Elijah Jennings, and veteran presence Dener Barbosa. With 200 points available in the event aggregate, every rider inside the Top 9 — including Andy Guzman — remains within striking distance of the title.
Beyond the championship race, there is even more on the line. Five World Finals invitations will be awarded out of Corpus Christi, giving riders one final opportunity to advance to the sport’s biggest stage. Add in a $50,000 bonus for the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Champion, and the urgency is undeniable as riders fight for position in a weekend that will define their seasons.
