Ridin’ Solo built a career defined by consistency, athleticism and a natural love for bucking. The two-time PBR World Champion Bull appeared at seven PBR World Finals, twice at the National Finals Rodeo and bucked off 79 riders in 93 recorded PBR outs.

Raised by Curtis Peoples and developed by Cord McCoy and McCoy Rodeo, Solo arrived at the McCoy Ranch as a naturally gifted young bull who wanted little to do with anything except buck. With patience and training, he became an ABBI Futurity World Champion before reaching the top of PBR, winning consecutive world titles in 2022 and 2023.

Solo’s best performances placed him among the sport’s elite, including a career-high 47.5-point bull score against Dalton Kasel in 2022. His final 90-point pairing came in 2024, when Cassio Dias covered him for 90.75 points in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

For all his intensity in the arena, Solo was gentle at home. McCoy described him as a big pet with a soft heart who loved people, enjoyed being brushed and would buck in the pasture simply because he loved doing it.

Solo retired during the 2025 PBR World Finals Elimination Rounds at Cowtown Coliseum and spent his final chapter on cows. He died of natural causes on Aug. 10, 2026.

Now remembered as one of the most accomplished bulls of his generation, Ridin’ Solo leaves behind two world championships, more than $450,000 in lifetime earnings and a lasting place in the McCoy Rodeo breeding program. For a bull whose name suggested solitude, his legacy was built alongside a family that considered him one of their own.
