Kansas City Outlaws
Cassio Dias is a cowboy who turned childhood daydreams into bull-riding legend. Raised on a ranch in Guzolândia, São Paulo, Brazil, he grew up idolizing Lane Frost and studying every move of the great he hoped to one day join. Even before he spoke English, Dias knew every word of Willie Nelson’s My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys, holding tight to a dream of winning the PBR Brazil Championship and competing among the best in the world.
He achieved that first dream in 2022, claiming the PBR Brazil title before heading to the United States. Two years later, he made history as just the second rider ever to win both the PBR World Championship and Rookie of the Year honors in the same season. Known for his calm composure and unmatched consistency, he went 41-for-76 (53%) with 13 round wins and eight 90-point rides. During the 2024 PBR World Finals, Dias was knocked unconscious, back-boarded out of the arena, and hospitalized after a wreck with Norse God. One week later, still visibly in pain, he returned to competition wearing Lane Frost’s chaps and delivered a 90-point ride to clinch his first world title — a moment that instantly became part of PBR history.
Later in 2024, Dias carried that same fire into the PBR Teams league as the driving force of the Kansas City Outlaws. His iconic 98.25-point ride on Man Hater in Fort Worth stands as the highest in Teams history and the second-highest in PBR history. That same season, he led the Outlaws to a regular-season championship and helped define the league’s most explosive rivalry. After fracturing his femur later that year, Dias fought through months of rehab and returned at Oklahoma Wildcatter Days in 2025, covering Dynamite for 87.75 points to seal a team victory in his first event back.
Off the dirt, Dias is a family man through and through. He and his wife Juliana live on their ranch, where they raise their young daughter and cattle. When he’s not training or competing, he’s fishing, firing up the barbecue, or spending time outdoors. He drives a pickup, listens to Johnny Cash, keeps his Bible close wherever he goes, and calls 8 Seconds his favorite movie — a nod to the hero who inspired it all.
