The PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour concludes its 2026 season this weekend with the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals at the American Bank Center Arena in Corpus Christi.
With the Velocity Tour Championship on the line and World Finals berths up for grabs, the sport’s rising stars will leave it all on the dirt in one of the most important events of the season.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Daniel Keeping (Montague, Texas) headlined a thrilling night of action, as the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour (PWVT) Finals opened on Friday at the Hilliard Center, with the field recording a season high 23 rides in the round – a sizzling conversion rate topping 50 percent.
Keeping earned the fifth 90+ point ride of the 2026 Velocity Tour season, besting Doze You Down for 90.75 points. Currently residing at No. 25 in the standings, Keeping, a member of the 2023 World Champion Texas Rattlers, looks to make a jump in the standings tomorrow during the final rounds.
"I wasn't even thinking about the score," Keeping said about conquering Doze You Down. "Take care of the job at hand first. When you ride your bull and do it right, you get blessed."
Grayson Cole (New Ringgold, Penn.) remains atop the PWVT standings with 655 points even with a buckoff Friday night. He looks to become the first multi-champion in the history of the Velocity Tour.
No. 42 Bruno Carvalho (Alvares Florence, Brazil) finished second in the round with an 89.75-point ride against Let’s Roll in the second section of the evening, marking the 26-year-old’s career-high on the Velocity Tour.
Eli Vastbinder, a native of Statesville, North Carolina, rode UTZ BesTex Legend for 89.60 points to finish third in a thrilling battle for the top spot. The 2018 PBR Rookie of the Year sits at No. 61 in the standings.
Saul Zambrano, the lone rider at the finals from Mexico (Jalisco), put up the fourth-best score of the evening with 89.10 points on Blonde Bomber. Zambrano is currently No. 55 in the standings.
Rounding out the Top 5 in Corpus Christi was Gustavo Luiz da Silva (Inocencia, Brazil) who scored 88.45 points on Yosemite Sam. While he sits at No. 142 in the standings, da Silva, along with four other riders, has a chance to qualify for PBR World Finals with a big night tomorrow in Corpus Christi.
Championship Saturday of the PWVT Finals begins at 7 p.m. CT on May 2 with the second round followed by the short-go to crown the new tour champion.
