SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – World No. 1 John Crimber (Decatur, Texas) recorded an epic walk-off conversion aboard Rolex (89.40 points) during the final out of the night to win Round 2 of the First PREMIER Bank PBR Sioux Falls at Denny Sanford PREMIER Center Saturday night and lead the event heading into Championship Sunday.
Crimber skyrocketed to the top of the event leaderboard as the only rider in the Top 6 of the Unleash The Beast (UTB) world championship standings to record a ride in the second round.
“My hand was coming out of my bull rope throughout the whole ride and I was like ‘Oh gosh, stay small, come on now, stay the course’,” Crimber said on the Paramount+ telecast.
“I just have to give all of the glory to my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, for giving me this ability to ride bulls, to live this life, and to get to ride with a beautiful crowd like this. It doesn’t get much better than this.”
The 20-year-old went the distance atop Cherry Shot for 86.95 points in the opening round on Friday and enters Round 3 on Sunday as one of five cowboys who produced 2-for-2 starts to the weekend for 176.35 points and the event lead.

Claudio Montanha Jr. (Ribeirao dos Indios, Brazil), third in the event a point behind Keeping, was the first man to advance to 2-for-2 in Sioux Falls. The 36-year-old recorded his fifth-consecutive conversion Friday night aboard Nachos (86.95 points) before logging a sixth-straight qualified ride Saturday.
